Early Years children, staff and parents had a wonderful time at Wadebridge Carnival. This was the first time that the school have entered and we managed to WIN 1st place in our category, as well as winning the Liz Peter's Artisan Cup for our outfits. Mrs Yates and Mrs Divall would like to thank ALL of the children and parents who took the time to make outfits and to join us for the evening.

We're really looking forward to welcoming our school families to our Together at the Table food event this Friday afternoon. Parents/carers - please look out for the email sent today with further information about arrangements for Friday afternoon.

Apologies for any misunderstanding, but this event is only open to those who have children in the school (not a public event), due to numbers expected.

Due to the warmer weather expected this week, children can wear their PE kit throughout the week should they wish. Please don’t forget to send them in with a water bottle, sun hat and sun cream applied.

⚽🏃🏻‍♀️Sports Week 2026 🏃🏼‍♂️‍➡️⚽

Sports Days complete, and some exciting news about WPA and Monday's KS2 District sports event! Read more below...

Thank you for your support and feedback across all four days. A huge well done to pupils across the school for their fantastic participation in this year’s Sports Days. Despite the weather, everyone took part with enthusiasm, determination and great effort.

Our World Cup theme brought plenty of excitement, with some excellent football skills on show throughout the week. The football events formed part of the Bridge Schools Games, giving all pupils across our Trust – around 2,500 children from 14 schools – the opportunity to represent their school and compete against others. We look forward to hearing the results of the wider Bridge Schools competition. The track events counted towards the House scores. Our overall winners can be found below.

Thank you to all our wonderful staff for making everything run so smoothly. A special thank you to Mr O’Dwyer for organising this year’s event at our school and across the Trust – and of course his commentary on the microphone! A final thank you to Isabelle and her coffee trailer for keeping everyone refreshed throughout the events, and her kind donation towards our Year 6 Prom Fundraiser.

🏃🏻‍♀️District Athletics Sports Event🏃🏼‍♂️‍➡️

Our Year 3–6 pupils proudly represented WPA at the District Athletics Sports Event on Monday 15th June and demonstrated outstanding determination and teamwork throughout.

Our pupils competed in a variety of track and field events, showcasing fantastic throwing, jumping, and running skills. Everyone gave their best effort, encouraging one another and displaying exemplary behaviour both on and off the field.

We are thrilled to announce that WPA finished 1st overall in our cluster. 🥇Congratulations to all of our athletes for their outstanding performances and for being such wonderful ambassadors for WPA. We are extremely proud of your efforts and achievements. Thank you to Mrs Smerdon for organising this opportunity for the children. 🥇

WPA are Royal Cornwall Ready!

We delivered all of our brilliant entries yesterday evening. A big thank you to all the busy volunteers that helped set them up ready for judging!

Here are a few photos of some of our entries. Not all were displayed by the time we needed to leave, so if you are attending the show this weekend and come across a WPA creation, please pop a picture below in the comments.

Well done, WPA. Enjoy the show! ⭐
