Hi everyone!
We’re delighted that we are on track to have school ready for the children on 2nd September! ☺️ Staff and contractors have worked incredibly hard both indoors and outdoors to get school even better than it was before and we can’t wait to show the fantastic learning spaces to you!
We had lots of lovely offers of support and donations to make sure school is ready for our amazing children to learn. We were not able to take in donations at the time due to the state of the building but we are now so I wanted to share a wish list so that if anyone would like to and is in a position to donate, you are able to support if you would like. Items do not have to be donated from this site, it was to make things easier only. Generic items are at the bottom of the list.

It’s hard to put into words just how much our wonderful Year 6 children mean to us. ❤️💙 Each and every one of you has brought something special to Waberthwaite C of E Primary School and it has been a privilege to watch you grow, learn and flourish. 🌱

You have filled our classrooms with laughter, kindness and determination, and you will all be greatly missed. 😊 Although we are sad to see you leave, we know you are more than ready for the exciting adventures that lie ahead. 🚀

We are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved and have no doubt that you will go on to do amazing things. ⭐ Wishing you all the very best as you take this next step—we know your futures are bright, and we can't wait to see where they take you. 🌈

A huge thank you to everyone at Sunset Café, Silecroft, for so kindly providing a delicious picnic lunch for our children on our Forest Day earlier this week.
Your generosity helped make the day even more special, and the children thoroughly enjoyed their lunch after a busy morning of exploring, learning, and enjoying the outdoors.
We are incredibly fortunate to be part of such a caring and supportive rural community, where local businesses are always willing to lend a helping hand. Your kindness is greatly appreciated by our children, staff, and families.
If you're looking for somewhere to enjoy a coffee, a bite to eat, or simply take in the beautiful views this summer, we'd highly recommend a visit to Sunset Café. Supporting local businesses like yours helps keep our wonderful community thriving.

As we come to the end of our time at Muncaster Castle, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has welcomed us so warmly over the past few weeks.
When our school building was unexpectedly out of use, Muncaster Castle opened its doors without hesitation, giving our children and staff a wonderful place to continue learning. Your kindness, generosity, patience, and support have meant the world to our whole school community, and we will always be grateful for the care and hospitality you have shown us.
Living in a small rural community, we know how important it is to look after one another, and Muncaster Castle has truly embodied that community spirit. Thank you for being there when we needed you most.
As the summer holidays begin, we'd love to encourage our families and the wider community to support Muncaster Castle if they're looking for a day out. Whether it's exploring the beautiful gardens and grounds, enjoying the castle, or watching the famous bird of prey displays, it's a very special place right on our doorstep and well worth a visit.
From all of us at Waberthwaite school, thank you once again. We will leave with wonderful memories and enormous gratitude for your generosity.
