We’re thrilled to announce that Brunel University of London alumna Lauren Bell has won $1 million in the renowned U.S. start-up competition 43North! 🎉

Lauren pitched her company, Cosi Care — which she developed during her final year at Brunel — and stood out among hundreds of international applicants. Her mission? Rapid itch relief for children and adults suffering with eczema and other chronic skin conditions. Her innovation even earned her the People’s Choice Award, adding an extra $25,000 in funding! 💵

This is a major milestone not just for Lauren, but for Brunel’s entrepreneurial community. Her journey began here in London — including winning early-stage funding via Brunel’s own Venture Competition — and now she’s scaling in Buffalo, supported by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.
