With deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences, I announce the passing of my dear friend and colleague, Professor Maysam Abbod. He was a man of great kindness and exemplary character, embodying qualities of humility and compassion that brought him close to everyone around him.

May he rest in peace and may his soul be granted eternal serenity. I pray that his legacy lives on through his family, and that they find strength and solace in this difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones, and we ask for their comfort and for him to be blessed with eternal peace.

We would like to congratulate German STERNHARZ who was recommended at viva voce examination for the award of PhD degree subject to completion of minor revisions.

The title of German’s thesis is “Operational Modal Analysis And Prediction of Remaining Useful Life For Rotating Machinery”. German was supervised by Professor Tatiana Kalganova and Dr Cris Mares.

The examination panel comprised Dr Yevgen Petrov Yevgen Petrov from University of Sussex , Professor Vasile Palade Vasile Palade from Coventry University and Dr Mohamed darwish Mohamed Darwish from Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering , CEDPS, Brunel University London. The viva voce examination was chaired by Dr Cormac Lucas Cormac Lucas.
