Outstanding success at the Bishopshalt School Chess Competition.

We were proud to take four students to compete against strong opposition, and they achieved fantastic results.

Congratulations to all four students on their excellent performances. Their determination, focus and sportsmanship were outstanding, and they represented Uxbridge High School with great pride.

Today marked the end of an important chapter for our Year 11 students.

After completing their final exam, students spent time signing leavers’ shirts, sharing messages and reflecting on their time at UHS. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate friendships, achievements and the memories created over the past five years.

We are incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished and wish them every success as they take their next steps. We hope the values of the UHS Gold Standard continue to inspire and guide them wherever their journey leads.

This week’s assembly theme is Art and Its Impact on the World. Students will explore how art inspires creativity, reflects cultures, communicates ideas, and drives social change. Art has the power to connect people and shape the world around us.

We welcomed Jonathan Kemp, who is walking 4,200km from the Shetland Islands to Galway to raise awareness of mental health and support 4 charities. Students enjoyed an inspiring talk and Q&A before giving him a guard of honour as he set off for Ealing.

This week's assembly explores Pride Month, its history, and its place in society. Students learn about different perspectives and discuss the importance of respect, understanding, and kindness within our diverse school and wider community.

Exciting opportunity for our students as former British No. 4 and ATP World No. 266 Alex Slabinsky visits Uxbridge High School for a 3-hour session with the LTA and Beyond the Baseline programme.
