Vyners60th

Given the current COVID-19 situation and latest guidance from the Govt it has been decided to postpone the 60th Anniversary celebrations until a later date yet to be determined.

The school was first opened on the Warren Road site in January 1960 by the then Headteacher, Trevor Jaggar. Sixty years and six Headteachers later the school has now expanded to an eight form of entry fully comprehensive school that was designated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in May 2019. The school community will be celebrating the anniversary with a series of events throughout the year including fun days, assemblies, open days and community gatherings. We would also be delighted if former students and staff were able to share memories including photographs and memorabilia from their time at the school and would be even more pleased if you were able to visit us at some point this year.

This year is the 60th Anniversary of the opening of Vyners School.
Vyners School opened as a Grammar School on 12 January 1960 under the Headship of Mr Trevor Jaggar.
