It’s been lovely welcoming everyone back to The Village Pre-School this week — and meeting some brand new little faces too! 🥰

❄️ We ❄️ Have ❄️ Aircon! ❄️

We cannot begin to thank Aircon Hire South Coast Ltd for coming to our rescue! After being let down by another (national!) company and with less than 24 hours notice they were able to source, and deliver two units to help us manage temperatures for tomorrow’s Leavers Show.

So it’s a late night for Claire and Stacey as we run the units for a bit to cool the hall down, but hopefully it’ll be better tomorrow for you all!

🎶❄️ Musicals Week - Frozen! ❄️🎶

With our Summer Show just around the corner, this week we’re exploring some of our favourite musicals!

Today the children experimented with magic writing by drawing with white crayon before using watercolour paints to reveal their hidden pictures. ✨

As the paint brushed across the paper, snowflakes and wintery patterns magically appeared – just like Elsa’s ice powers! ❄️🪄

The children loved watching their secret artwork come to life.

The temperature is rising, and we’ve got a busy week ahead!

🎭 Our Summer Show takes place on Thursday for our School Leavers. We’re looking forward to sharing all of their hard work with you.

☀️ With temperatures expected to be very high this week, please remember to send children with:
💧 A named water bottle
🧴 Suncream already applied
👒 A sun hat
🩱🩳 Swimming consume and towel in a separate bag.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on the weather, making use of shade where possible and ensuring everyone stays hydrated.
Parents of School Leavers: please check the show information on the parent board, including arrival details and timings.

Joolz is recalling its Aer2 Car Seat Adapter Set due to a safety risk.

The adapter may fail to lock properly onto the Joolz Aer2 stroller, meaning it could detach during use and cause the attached car seat to tip forward or fall.

Sold between: June 2025 and May 2026
If you own this product, stop using it immediately, even if it appears secure.

The Joolz Aer2 stroller is NOT affected and can continue to be used without the adapter.

📚✨ Staff Training Day!

As the Village Hall is being used as a polling station today, we’ve taken the opportunity to hold one of our staff training days.

Today the team are refreshing and developing their knowledge with:

🛡️ Safeguarding refresher training
📖 EYFS updates
💡 Staff chosen topics and professional development

Even on days without children in the setting, there’s always plenty happening behind the scenes to help us continue providing the best possible care and learning experiences 💛
