WELCOME TO THE LMA NEWCASTLE FAMILY, MARCO EMKE!

We’re thrilled to welcome professional dancer, ballet specialist and performer Marco Emke to the LMA team! Marco brings a unique combination of classical ballet training, professional performance and contemporary artistry to LMA.

Marco has developed a strong foundation in classical ballet, contemporary dance, technique and performance. As the drag artist Layla Sphynnx, Marco also brings an exciting world of performance, character, movement and stagecraft to his work combining technical dance expertise with the confidence and creativity of drag performance.

With specialist knowledge of ballet technique and training, Marco is passionate about helping dancers develop strong foundations, artistry, musicality and performance quality.

We’re incredibly excited to have Marco bringing his technical expertise, creativity and serious stage presence to LMA. 🧡

WELCOME TO THE LMA FAMILY, TONY POTTINGER! 🎶

We’re delighted to welcome musician, bassist, pianist, producer and music industry
professional Tony Pottinger to the LMA Newcastle team as Programme Lead for Music Performance, Music Production, and Events and Festival Management.

Tony brings more than 25 years of professional experience across live performance,
recording, music production, sound engineering and the wider music industry.
A highly experienced live musician, Tony has performed alongside artists including Paul Weller, Roger Daltrey of The Who, Squeeze, Busted, Scouting For Girls and The Lightning Seeds, as well as performing extensively across major festivals, theatres and live events.

Throughout his career, Tony has built an impressive network of musicians, artists and industry professionals, including Steve White, Yolanda Charles MBE, Aziz Ibrahim, Jade Thirlwall and Jennifer Batten, working across some of the biggest names and projects in music. Tony has also delivered recording and performance projects at iconic venues including Abbey Road Studios and The Cavern Club, bringing together musicians, producers and industry professionals to create memorable live and recording experiences. With a career spanning performance, production and the technical side of live and recorded music, Tony has a genuine understanding of what it takes to work professionally in the industry and what happens behind the scenes to make great music happen.

We’re incredibly excited to have someone with Tony’s experience, connections and passion for music joining the LMA team. 🧡

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that has joined LMA Newcastle as a Singing Teacher!

A powerhouse vocalist, songwriter and vocal coach, Beth brings an incredible wealth of professional experience to our students.

Beth has performed alongside huge artists including Noel Gallagher, Kaiser Chiefs, Jax Jones & amp; Rae Morris and with the Manchester Camerata Orchestra.

She toured with Jane McDonald and performed on Sky One’s Bring The Noise, alongside Melanie C, Nicole Scherzinger, Tinie Tempah & amp; Anne-Marie.

As a solo artist, Beth’s music has achieved fantastic chart success “Gotta Get Back” reached no. 5 and “Love You More” no. 6 on the UK Soul Chart, while “I Promise (That I Got You)” broke into the US Soul Chart Top 20 and earned her the US Soul Radio President’s Choice Award.

Beth is also an experienced vocal coach, passionate about helping singers build confidence, technique and their own unique voice.

We’re so excited to have her on board and can’t wait for our LMA students to learn from her experience, knowledge and passion!

We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome professional dancer, musical theatre performer and dance teacher Joshua Allan to the LMA team!

Joshua brings an incredible career spanning international touring, television, cruise entertainment, immersive experiences, commercial dance and musical theatre.

His career highlights include performing as a Parade Dancer & Character Performer at Disneyland Paris, dancing for Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway and performing with Royal Caribbean and Princess Cruises.

More recently, Joshua has worked with Warner Bros at the Making of Harry Potter Studio Tour London as both a Dancer & Dance Captain and Death Eater, as well as performing in One Moment in Time – The Whitney Houston Story on its Germany & Austria Tour.

His other credits include Spirit of the Dance, Dancing Queen, Funny Girls and major UK pantomimes including Dick Whittington at Birmingham Hippodrome.

Joshua is a highly versatile performer across ballet, commercial, contemporary, jazz, tap, Latin, lyrical and musical theatre.

We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome West End star Erin Caldwell to the LMA team!

Erin has built an incredible career in musical theatre, making her West End debut in Pretty Woman: The Musical at the Savoy Theatre, before taking on the iconic role of Veronica Sawyer in Heathers The Musical.

She also starred as Jane Seymour in SIX The Musical on its UK & International Tour, before making a surprise West End return to perform the role at the Vaudeville Theatre.

Most recently, Erin starred as Constanze in Saving Mozart at The Other Palace.
With experience across some of the UK’s biggest musical theatre productions, Erin brings an incredible wealth of vocal, performance and industry knowledge to LMA.

We’re so excited for our students to learn from her!
