Meets Wednesdays and Fridays. Ladies classes during the day on Friday mornings. We offer 3 free trial sessions, no commitment. Classes also at Woodford Halse Social Club on Monday evenings and in Banbury Spiceball on Sundays and Tuesdays.

🌳Field note: Dobokus firlejensis* 🍃
A rare seasonal tree found exclusively in the Firlej region. In late August, its branches produce an extraordinary white “bloom” known as doboka alba — carefully folded specimens of the Taekwon-Do uniform.
Unlike ordinary flora, Dobokus firlejensis does not photosynthesise; it thrives on discipline, shouted commands, and the distant sound of kicking pads. The appearance of white among its leaves is an unmistakable phenological signal: the Central Summer Taekwon-Do Camp FIRLEJ 2026, under the guidance of GM Jurek Jedut, is about to begin. 🥋🌞⛱️😎🍃🐟⛵️

🥳🥋 𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐘 𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐓𝐇𝐃𝐀𝐘, 𝐊𝐀𝐘𝐋𝐄𝐈𝐆𝐇! 🥋🥳
A very happy birthday to **Daventry student Kayleigh!** 🎂🎉
Kayleigh joined us fairly recently after previously training in **WT Taekwondo**, so she hasn’t exactly changed martial arts... she’s just changed **Taekwondo dialects!** 😁🥋
We train ITF-style Taekwondo, so there are plenty of familiar bits, plenty of differences, and naturally just a little friendly rivalry between the two! 😉
And Kayleigh is also something we are always very pleased to see at Daventry Taekwondo... **a proper grown-up student!** 🙌
Taekwondo really isn’t just for children. Adults can start at any age, whether they’ve trained in another style before or are trying martial arts for the very first time. You get fitter, learn something new, meet people and, occasionally, discover an entirely new collection of muscles you didn’t know you owned. 😁
Kayleigh has fitted into the club brilliantly and we’re very glad she decided to try a different flavour of Taekwondo with us. 💜🥋

This young lady could win the medal every week! Always focused. Always working hard. Most definitely a perfectionist! If only all of our students worked like this young lady, we would have a very easy job as instructors! Excellent work again - well done. 🥇🤩🥳
Darren and Mel doing 2 step sparring at the last grading. You can tell they were doing well, as GM Oliver barely glanced in their direction! This is a really nice demo of what numbers 5-8 should look like. 👍🤩
Today's Friday flashback is to the Long Buckby Summer Fete in June 2018. Some very familiar faces in this demonstration team pattern. It was a pretty good effort considering I think they had one practise session together beforehand. Can you name all of the performers? Only two of them still train, but they were all very accomplished black belts before they went their different ways.
