Academy News – Student Leadership Election 2026 Voting
Voting is underway!

Today, students from Years 7 to 10 have been voting for their two Head Prefect choices in the Library after hearing the candidates’ speeches throughout the week.

A focused silence filled the Library as students cast their votes before placing them anonymously into the ballot box.

The results of the election will be announced on Monday, when we will welcome our two new Head Prefects and four Deputy Head Prefects.

Academy News - 🌈 FA Pride 2026! 🌈

We are delighted to officially announce that FA Pride 2026 will take place on Friday 26th June, from 2:40pm–4:30pm, here at Fareham Academy!

This year’s Pride celebration will be held on the school field (weather permitting), with entry via the gate next to the main car park, to the right of the Nursery.

Join us for our biggest, boldest Pride yet, featuring:
✨ Local vendors & small businesses
✨ A sizzling BBQ
✨ Student performances
✨ Face painting
✨ Local charities
✨ Ice cream van
✨ And plenty more still to be revealed!

FA Pride is a joyful, inclusive event celebrating diversity, community and acceptance, while also raising awareness and support for local LGBT+ charities. We can’t wait to welcome students, families and the wider community for an afternoon of colour, celebration and connection.

Academy News - Hi everyone, we are currently supporting a number of our Year 10 students who are still seeking work experience placements.

Unfortunately, some previously arranged placements have fallen through due to company closures, while others have experienced ongoing difficulty in securing an opportunity this year.

We would be extremely grateful for any support you may be able to offer.

- If you are an employer who could provide a placement, or
- If you are a parent able to approach your workplace regarding a potential opportunity

Placements are required for the week commencing 29th June to 3rd July for students based in the Fareham and Gosport area.

Academy News - 👏 Well done to all of our students who took part in the Junior Mathematical Challenge! 🧮

The Challenge is a 60-minute, 25-question multiple-choice competition designed to encourage mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency. The problems are accessible to all participants while still providing a stimulating challenge for those with more mathematical experience.

We are incredibly proud of everyone who embraced the opportunity to test their problem-solving skills and think creatively. Congratulations on your hard work and determination! 🌟
