AKU-ISMC Publications were showcased again this year at the BRAIS conference, held at Leeds University's Cloth Hall Court. The turnout was fantastic, as always, for one of the most dynamic conferences in Islamic Studies. Our Open Access book lists attracted considerable attention.

We are delighted to be hosting our 2023 Annual Conference in the stunning surroundings of the Aga Khan University Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations in London. Many congratulations to Elizabeth Grace Price of Yale University for winning the 2022 BRAIS-De Gruyter Prize for her brilliant thesis entitled The Barāhima’s Dilemma: Ibn al-Rāwandī’s Kitāb al-Zumurrud and the Epistemological Turn in the Debate on Prophecy!

A special mention also to Aziza Shanazarova of Indiana University-Bloomington for her thesis, A Female Saint in Muslim Polemics: Agha-yi Buzurg and her Legacy in Early Modern Central Asia.
