🐾 UPDATE: PET CARE ASSISTANT WANTED! 🐾
👶🏼💕 We’re incredibly excited to be welcoming our baby girl into the world at the end of January! 💕👶🏼
With this very exciting chapter approaching, I’m now looking for a reliable, experienced animal lover to join my pet-care business from December 2026 onwards to cover my maternity leave.
I’d ideally like to find someone ASAP so that we have plenty of time to work together, shadow jobs, meet clients and their animals, and make sure you feel completely confident before taking over bookings independently. 🥰🐾
< There is also potential for regular, ongoing work after my maternity leave for the right person! >
🐾 THE ROLE
The work will include a mixture of:
🐕 Dog walking
🏡 Overnight petsitting
🐶 Daycare
🐾 Pop-by visits
🐱 Cat care
🐴 Horse care
🐹 Caring for a variety of other animals!
Every animal has their own routine and personality, so no two days will be the same.
❤️ I’M LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
✨ Is 18+ (proof required in order to be covered by insurance)
✨ Has plenty of hands-on animal experience
✨ Is reliable, punctual, organised & responsible
✨ Is calm, patient and sensible, especially around nervous, anxious or reactive animals
✨ Is confident working independently once fully trained
✨ Has good communication skills and will keep me/client owners updated when needed
✨ Is respectful of clients’ homes, privacy and instructions
✨ Is happy to follow individual animal care plans and routines
✨ Ideally has their own reliable transport
✨ Has a DBS check (or is open to completing one before starting)
✨ Is flexible enough to work some weekdays, weekends and/or overnight stays, depending on bookings
✨ Is genuinely passionate about animal welfare and providing a high standard of care 🐾
Full training will be provided on the job!
I’ll personally introduce you to the animals, demonstrate how I work, and have you shadowing me on jobs before taking on any work independently. The aim is to make the transition as smooth as possible for us, the animals, and their owners.

Dinnington, Laughton, Laughton Common, North & South Anston
🗓️ STARTING ASAP
Although maternity cover will begin from December onwards, I’m looking to start training the right person as soon as possible.
This gives us plenty of time to:
🐾 Get to know each other
🐾 Meet all the regular animals
🐾 Shadow walks & visits
🐾 Learn individual routines and quirks
🐾 Build relationships with clients
🐾 Gradually introduce you to independent work
The more prepared we are before December, the better! ❤️
