4. Fret board harmony Includes specific technical exercises for the Bass that are designed to help with your Knowledge of the fret board & build strength & dexterity, including Scales Triads arpeggio’s Chord analysis warm up & supportive finger exercises for left & right hand.
5. Stylistic understanding Introduction to the many traditional musical styles on offer to the modern bassist including Bossa Latin Funk Reggae & Rock
6. Practical Theory grade (1-onwards) Develop an understanding of how music works in a practical way including the Major Scale triads & Basic Diatonic Harmony
7. Sight Reading for beginners
An introduction in to the murky world of Rhythm & Pitch or music notation using Sibelius software to write Create b& under stands written music

4. Repertoire study Exploring different genres paying particular attention to the Technical (Plectrum fingers Thumb altered tuning Keyboard & synth emulation) & Musical aspects including (style sound chart navigation using a transcription & audio)
5. Fret board harmony includes specific technical exercises for the Bass that are designed to help with your Knowledge of the fret board & build strength & dexterity, including Scales Triads arpeggio’s Chord analysis warm up & supportive finger exercises for left & right hand.
6. Stylistic understanding A comprehensive study of the traditional musical styles on offer to the modern bassist including Brazilian Latin Fun Caribbean Jazz & African Rhythms
Advanced theory Includes an in depth study Jazz harmony Key & parallel Keys Tonal centers & altered Dominants II V 1’s b5 substitution improvisation chromatic approach notes synthetic & exotic Scales & arpeggios extended chords Walking in 2 & 4 & Getting round the changes. Jazz studies will also include Analyzing Chord charts starting with the Blues progression Using Simple I IV V progressions & ultimately working toward dominant chords & their appropriate scales including more complex dominants e.g. C7 C7#4 whole tone C7b9 Phrygian dominant diminished & Whole tone ultimately getting round Giant steps changes
