Summer must be coming as the gorgeous peonies have appeared at , one of our favorite Brighton independents. For the month of May we are concentrating in store on florals and fragrance. From colours that may be soft and subtle or mad and flamboyant. Home fragrances fresh and clean room sprays of mint and tea, warm and musky rose and oud candles. Bath time treats of lavender and rose geranium soaps , bath oils bars of palmarosa and bergamot. The whole shop is a heady mix this month💐

Our white bedlinen event finishes on Monday. All our own collection of bedlinen made from the finest European fabrics. Fine cotton percale and sateens from Italy , more rustic linen from Portugal and micromodal, originating from Austria. All made in our own workrooms, hand guided and sewn with years of skill and experience. Our fine white bedlinen event continues and it’s worth reminding everyone that we have clearance pages on our website where we show ends of lines and pieces leftover from projects. Cavendish , a design inspired by an antique pillowcase we found in Italy, years ago. We reproduced it in pure linen with the classic decorative ladder stitch work. The linen we used carries the ‘Master of Linen’ certification which means it is all produced in Europe from field to spinning, to weaving , to dyeing, to finishing. We have just add the last few pieces we have left to clearance.

To celebrate our 25 year anniversary, we wanted to feature our product heros every month, starting in March. Our second product is Palazzo fine bedlinen. We decided to blow our own trumpet. We first added Palazzo to our range twenty years ago and it remains, allowing for a few tweaks here and there, our most popular and best selling range. The fabric it is made of, we sourced in Italy and have our own dream ‘finish’ so that the high quality cotton percale is smooth but soft to the touch. All the individual bedding pieces are finished with hand guided cording by our skilled team and sewn with care and attention by a team who have been with us for years.

For this month our store in Brighton is all about white. A selection of our own bedlinen collections . Stanhope , a classic triple hemstitched fine percale bedlinen available in all sizes. Gretel , decorative lace edged pillowcases, 100% cotton. Jasmine, super fine cotton jacquard , finished in Italy. Rest, simple hotel quality cotton percale, all sizes including emperor. Hanover, 100% linen finished with Dorset buttons. All made from natural fibres, woven and finished in Italy and Portugal and made in our own work rooms. This month with finally the arrival of Spring, we are embracing this year’s interiors trend for white and a more pastel palette. Colour has always been our signature, but the base and scaffolding for all our bedroom stories and schemes have been white . It’s how you use it and dress it. Minimal and clean line or shabby chic layering, white never goes out of style.
