🎪✨ What a show! ✨🎪

On Monday, our Year 3 pupils truly brought the magic of the circus to life with their spectacular performance of ‘This is the Greatest Show!’ 🤹‍♀️🎭

From incredible costumes and energetic rehearsals to confident performances full of creativity, teamwork and joy, the children absolutely dazzled their audience. We are so proud of everything they achieved throughout this special immersive workshop day.

A huge thank you to our Year 3 team, staff and families for helping make the afternoon such a memorable celebration of the children’s hard work and progress this year. ❤️

📸 Here are a few highlights from a truly unforgettable Greatest Show!

🐝🐶🐦 Year 5–7 had a fantastic time exploring animal sounds from around the world in their language lessons this week!

From jiu jiu for chirping birds, to wang wang for barking dogs and weng weng for buzzing bees , all in Chinese pupils discovered just how differently languages describe the sounds we hear every day. 🌍

They also completed “The Farm” display with their favourite animals, carefully labelled in both French and Spanish.

A fun and creative way to celebrate languages and cultures from around the world! ✨

What a fantastic day yesterday! 🏃‍♀️🌈

We were so proud to see Pennthorpe represented in force, and it was wonderful to catch up with so many of our current and prospective families throughout the day. Community events like this really capture the spirit of Pennthorpe. 💙

Huge congratulations to our Pennthorpe team who took on the 10K in style, and an even bigger well done to our pupils who threw themselves into the Colour Run with boundless enthusiasm, energy and plenty of colour! 🎉

🦕 What a ROAR-some day we had yesterday in Pre-Prep! 🦖

Our young explorers stepped back in time for an unforgettable Dinosaur Day, immersing themselves in a prehistoric world filled with discovery, adventure and excitement.

From meeting adorable baby dinosaurs to uncovering ancient fossils during hands-on digging activities, the children embraced every moment of this magical experience. The fantastic dinosaur-themed costumes added even more fun to the day, with fearsome dinosaurs, brave explorers and budding palaeontologists all making an appearance!

A huge thank you to our expert dinosaur visitor for bringing the prehistoric world to life and helping create memories that our children will be talking about for a long time to come.

🌟 From Half Term to Headline Moment… Penny Does Disney! 🌟

Penny swapped the classroom for the stage at Disneyland Paris this May Half Term and absolutely shone! 🎭✨

As part of the Disney Performing Arts Programme with , she trained with Disney professionals and wowed them from the start. In fact, Disney’s Head of Performing Arts said they’d “never seen a group quite like them.” 🤩

And it gets even better…
🦁 The Lion King cast stopped mid-prep to watch, cheer and support, a truly unforgettable moment that gave the whole group a huge confidence boost!

Then came the big one…
🎬 A live performance at the Videopolis Theatre, where Penny and 23 fellow performers lit up the stage with energy, teamwork and pure Disney magic.

What an experience. What an achievement. What a star. 🌟

We couldn’t be prouder of Penny for representing Holly King Performing Arts and her school so brilliantly, this is a moment she’ll carry with her forever.

🦴✨ Inspiring Curiosity Across Year Groups ✨🦴

There was real excitement in the classroom as James (Year 6) stepped into the role of teacher to share his passion for fossils with our Year 3 pupils!

With confidence and enthusiasm, James led a fantastic lesson, bringing fossils to life with fascinating facts, hands-on examples, and plenty of opportunities for questions. Our Year 3s were captivated, fully embracing the chance to learn from one of their older peers.

Moments like these truly capture the spirit of the Pennthorpe community - where pupils support, inspire, and learn from one another. We are so proud of James for his initiative and for sharing his love of learning so brilliantly. Who knows… we may have a future palaeontologist in the making! 🦕

🌿🏰 A Magical Day at Hever Castle 🏰🌿

Just before they headed off for half term, our Year 1 children enjoyed a truly memorable trip to as part of their “Once Upon a Year 1 Story” topic.

From exploring the historic castle to discovering what life was like in the past, the day brought their learning brilliantly to life.

The children were wonderfully engaged throughout, immersing themselves in stories, history, and the beautiful surroundings. It was a joy to see their curiosity sparked at every turn!

A huge thank you to our staff for making the day so special and to our pupils for their enthusiasm and impeccable behaviour. What an adventure! ✨
