🚨 Calling all Year 11s

For those of you who picked up your GCSE results yesterday, but have been weighing up your options, there’s still time to join our thriving sixth form and have your moment in front of the iconic Bosco board.

Just like our Year 13s, who achieved some fantastic A Level results this year, you could be part of our continued success.

🧐Did we mention that, this year:
✅ 72% of A Level grades awarded were A* - C
✅ Applied general students achieved an average grade of Merit+ and a 100% pass rate across all subjects
✅ 42% of applied general grades were awarded at Distinction* or Distinction, with 94% awarded at Merit or above

A huge congratulations to our Year 11 students who collected their GCSE and BTEC results this morning 🥳

There was a real buzz in school as students opened their results envelope to discover the outcome of the dedication and commitment to their studies, surrounded by family members and supported by school staff 🤗

This year’s GCSE results saw significant improvements across key measures, with increases in the number of students achieving grade 5 or higher in maths and English.

Good luck to all our Year 11 students receiving their GCSE and BTEC results tomorrow 🍀

School will be open from 8am for students to collect their results. We’ll have lots of staff on hand to offer support, answer questions and help students with their next steps.

Our sixth form team will also have an enrolment desk set up for students joining us, where they can confirm their subject choices and discuss any changes 📚

Did you know some of our students’ artwork is currently on display at the Walker Art Gallery ? 🎨

As part of the gallery’s ‘Schools Summer Season’ exhibition, which celebrates the talent of young artists, students from our school were selected to have their work showcased alongside just five other schools from across Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.

Miss Riley checked out the exhibition last week, but it’s open until the end of the month, so there’s still time to see it for yourself 👀

Next week, we're holding our annual summer school for students joining Year 7 in September ☀️

Our summer school provides the perfect opportunity for students to:
🤝 Make friends
🧑‍🏫 Build relationships with teachers
🏫 Get familiar with the school building
😊 Feel more comfortable in a secondary school setting

We're looking forward to spending the week with some of our new Year 7 students and for them to get a real feel for life at St John Bosco Arts College 💖

Wow, what a morning we've had celebrating our incredible Year 13 students 🤩

Congratulations to all students, whose hard work and dedication all led to this amazing moment 🌟

Our students have made exceptional progress, both academically and personally, which is testament to the focus and commitment they have demonstrated towards their two years of study, as well as the exceptional support they have received from our teaching and support staff 🙌

This year:
👏 72% of A Level grades awarded were A* - C

👏 42% of applied general grades were awarded at Distinction* or Distinction, with 94% awarded at Merit or above

Students are now progressing on to a range of different destinations, including Liverpool Hope University, the NHS, Liverpool John Moores University and the University of York!

We're wishing our Year 13s good luck ahead of tomorrow's A Level and BTEC results day 🍀

Students can arrive at school between 8.00am and 11.00am to collect their results.

There will be lots of staff members on hand to provide support and answer any questions students may have about results and next steps 🤗

Our dedicated sixth form team will also be available to offer personalised advice and support if students need guidance relating to university places, further education, apprenticeships or career choices 🚀
