A Killer Christmas is an original immersive murder mystery written by Kane Murray and performed by our Senior Acting on Location cast.
Set against the haunting backdrop of St Brideâs Church, this site-specific production is performed in the very place our story unfolds.
Itâs Winter, 1999. On a bitterly cold December evening, just days before Christmas, twelve strangers become trapped inside a snowed-in, derelict church. With the doors sealed by the storm until morning, there is no escape⊠and nowhere to hide. When a dead body is discovered in a side room, the night spirals into accusation, paranoia, and fear. Everyone claims innocence, but each harbours secrets they would rather keep buried.
Why have they all been summoned here?
A mysterious note draws Charlotte into the darkness, promising answers to questions she cannot ignore. A group of urban hunters speak of rituals and sacrifices to Krampus, a half-goat, half-devil figure they believe stalks the town. Four homeless friends insist they are merely seeking shelter. Two young lovers flee a school prom and stumble into something far more sinister. A seemingly harmless elderly couple arrive with a bag of âChristmas giftsâ that look suspiciously like knives. And two ambitious police constables race against time to solve the mystery before dawn.
But as the hours pass and tensions rise, the truth begins to unravel.
For Theatre on Footâs young actors, A Killer Christmas is a bold and demanding theatrical challenge. This is not just a whodunnit. Itâs a night of secrets, suspicion, and psychological tension where nothing is quite as it seems⊠and someone wonât make it to Christmas morning.

Read the sign carefully!!! âïž
In March, our Tweens Stage Actors took part in an original play called âAdventure Is Out Thereâ set in the British village (during Victorian England) of Upton Snodsbury. And look where cast member Josh (âVinnie the Magicianâ) went for a trip recently. To the REAL Upton Snodsbury!!! đź I wonder if the real residents of the village are as eccentric and wacky as the ones in our play. đ€
Tweens⊠shall we plan a trip to find out?? đ

During the second half of our locked-in mystery play âA Killer Christmasâ our protagonist âCharlotteâ (played by the phenomenally talented Carys, pictured) is really put through her paces emotionally. And although this is a fictional story, as an actor, we must protect ourselves at all times. Which is why when the character of âCharlotteâ is bullied, manipulated and toyed with, we must always remember to pause, to discuss the themes on display, and check in with the very real Carys, to make sure sheâs okay and happy. This is undertaken in the form of a group hug, a round of applause or a good olâ cast giggle. And it works!!
Well done, Carys, youâre doing a superb job. As are the whole awesome cast. đ©”
Tickets for âA Killer Christmasâ go on sale in the coming days⊠đïž
