What an amazing end of year performance we had at Duncton last week. Bringing both schools together involving the whole school community always feels very special 💜 The children performed their poems, songs and dances beautifully and with so much confidence! A huge thank you to all of our parents who came along and supported our FGD to raise money for our schools. Both the evening and our amazing online auction raised £5500!!!! Thank you to our generous parents and our amazing FGD team who put on a truly special evening! 🤩 Thank you also to our amazing teams at both schools who put on this brilliant show for us all to enjoy!

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you that have supported us with raising funds for our new kitchen at school. We have raised a whopping £7684!!!!! We only have £716 to go to reach our target. A huge thanks particularly goes out to John Bracey who has gifted a lot of the kitchen utensils and pots and pans. We are truly grateful! Thank you also goes out to our Graffham parishioners who have donated to this worthwhile cause. Our equipment is arriving in dribs and drabs ready to be fitted over the summer. We are so excited and also have the exciting news to tell you that we have appointed school chef Laura and an assistant cook KT. Weaving with all of natures summer time treasures 💜💜💜💜 We had relaxing music playing while the children took their time to select their chosen favourites to weave. The sustained concentration and focus for this activity shows how far the children have come on their creative journey in school. All of the children took them home to proudly show their families.

What a treat we’ve had here at Graffham! Both classes had a workshop on poetry led by Brenda Figg-Wild who has her own poetry book. As she read the poems about dragons and Queen fairies out, the children got to act them out with a variety of props like silver, gold, fairy dust, cobweb blankets, swords and wands! The children absolutely loved it and continued to act them out after she had gone. Thank you Brenda for a brilliant morning 💜
