I’d suggest that paying attention to the wide ranging and long standing trends and similarities, demonstrated by the games best, holds far greater value than mimicking the latest coaching bias.

Establishing sound and functional technique(s) early in a golfer’s development holds importance. It does however only make up a fraction of the player.
Patience is required so to allow self organisation to take place. Input from a coach may be required to provide guidance and encourage direction, this “interference” must be kept to a relative minimum (from any source…). Expert coaching can be invaluable while, at the same time, the coaches worth can be vastly over estimated.
Understand that working on technique should, essentially, come to an end. Strive to have a basic grasp of personal patterns, good and bad. From this point, technique should require nothing more than maintenance.
The aim of the game is to return the lowest score, get to a point (hopefully sooner rather than later) where actually playing golf is the focus.
