🥋What a weekend it has been. Our first major international tournaments with a host of other countries, clubs and organisations 🥋

Senpai Jason had the tough responsibility and privilege to judge and referee at a European level in front of a host of Country Reps, Branch Chiefs and the Japanese Delegation.

💪2 of our boys fought in the Waterpoort Cup - the first time ever competing at this kind of level - and showed that nothing is freely given, but hard earned 💪

📈2 of our ladies took the big stage and participated in kata at SOKEURO tournament. Showing off their skills and technical abilities 📈.

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒Lastly a thank you to our coaches, family and supporters who travelled and stayed to support and witness the event, calibre and organisation of such a weekend. 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

It was our first time, where we can only improve, grow and bring a bigger team next time!
All of this from your local dojo that’s in your community of Folkestone, Hawkinge and Capel!

Will you be at the next one?

What a weekend! To say we are proud of our little team is an understatement. We may not have placed but we have taken away experience and a stronger sense of unity across our Mirai family. To put yourselves forward to compete at one of the highest levels of competition is a feat in itself!
What a tournament! What a fab performance from our friends Bury St Edmunds Kyokushinkai Karate and Barry Kyokushin Karate Club So-Kyokushin United Kingdom

Here we go! Mirai's journey to Sneek, the Netherlands, begins today!

We are taking a team of two fighters and two kata competitors to compete in the first So Kyokushin European Championships this weekend.

This does mean that there is no class tomorrow! We'll be back to training on Monday at the Hawkinge Community Centre. See you there.

We’re on the way to the Europeans!
