🎄 Countdown to Christmas: Feeling Festive or Frazzled? 🎅
Let’s Talk About Energy Swings During Perimenopause 🎄🎅
With Christmas just around the corner, the pressure is on, shopping, wrapping, cooking, socialising… it’s a lot! 🤪
And when you’re navigating perimenopause & beyond on top of it all, you might be feeling the energy rollercoaster in full force. 😩
One day you’re ticking off the to-do list like a festive superhero, and the next, you’re completely wiped out, wondering how you’ll get through it all.
It’s not just “Christmas burnout” these wild energy swings are a classic part of perimenopause. Oestrogen, progesterone, and cortisol are shifting in unpredictable ways, and your nervous system is likely feeling the strain.
But here’s a reminder you might need to hear today: You don’t have to push through it. Resting isn’t lazy, it’s necessary.
Saying no to an invite isn’t selfish, it’s self-care. And if you need to do Christmas at 70% instead of 100%, that’s perfectly OK too. 🤗
If your energy is on that “two weeks good, two weeks rough” cycle, or if you’re just feeling totally spent, try focusing on small, simple wins:
💜 Prioritise rest where you can, even 10 minutes to yourself can help.
💚 Keep blood sugar balanced by pairing carbs with protein & healthy fats.
💜 Swap “all-or-nothing” thinking for “what’s good enough for today?”

Have you ever felt like you exist only for what you do for others, rather than for who you are? 💜💚
It’s a painful reality so many of us face, pouring ourselves into our families, partners, and responsibilities, only to feel invisible, like nothing we do is ever enough.
You apologise for your mistakes, own up to every flaw, yet the good you do gets overlooked. The love you give seems to get taken for granted, and after a while, it feels like you don’t exist beyond your duties. You become a shell of the person you once were, running on empty, questioning your worth.
I have so many clients feeling like this when they are going through a difficult hormonal transition. 😔
But here’s the truth: you deserve to exist for yourself, not just for the people you care for. You are not just valuable because of what you give; you are valuable simply for being you.
If this resonates with you, it’s time to make a change. Start by asking yourself, "What do ‘I’ need?" and recognise that your well-being is as important as anyone else's.
Setting boundaries may feel uncomfortable at first, but it's necessary. You deserve to be seen, to be loved, and to be cared for, just as you are.
Today , take one small step towards reclaiming your space. Whether it's journaling about your own needs, saying “no” to something that feels overwhelming, or simply taking five minutes for yourself, do something ‘just for you’.
