For many students (and their parents), the biggest advantage of having a tutor is the gain in confidence that comes from working on a 1:1 basis with an experienced subject specialist. But don't just take my word for it! This review is from the mother of one of my current year 11 students:

Some interesting ideas about how to help students make up the time they have lost in the last year. Longer school days? Funded tutors for disadvantaged students? (What about non-disadvantaged students?). Repeating a year?
If everyone has been affected, surely nobody is "behind" relative to anyone else?
What is the best way forward? Clear thought and planning is needed! What do you think?

How can you help your kids catch up after (or even during) lockdown? Maybe consider some extra 1:1 tuition with a friendly, experienced ex-teacher? ๐
Schools are doing their best with online learning, but the provision is still very mixed. What students miss most of all is quality, 1:1 interactions with their teachers. I can provide that for GCSE Sciences and A level Biology.
So why not get ahead in the race to catch up? Contact me for more information ๐

The uncertainty continues! ๐
Don't forget though, that even if Teacher Assessments are used as the sole method of grading students this year, the students with the deepest and greatest understanding will get the best TA grades.
Extra tuition can make a massive difference with that understanding (and confidence) - especially at a time when online learning provided by schools is so inconsistent and variable. Easter is till a long way off...
