Earlier this year, Mr Wood and Mr Smith each selected a pupil from their class to attend the Shaw Education Trust KS2 Awards in Crewe.

Isabella and Aleigha were chosen in recognition of their outstanding work ethic, consistently positive attitude towards learning, and determination to always strive to improve. They are fantastic role models who truly embody our STRIVE values.

A huge well done to both girls on this well-deserved achievement! 🌟

We would also like to thank Shaw Education Trust for hosting such a wonderful afternoon. The children had a fantastic time and were made to feel incredibly special – a memorable experience celebrating their hard work and success.

We are delighted to be working with Sean Bailey Wellness CIC to offer a fantastic FREE Summer Camp right here at Hallwood Park! ☀️

Places are completely FREE for students at Hallwood Park, but booking is essential as spaces are limited.

Each day will include four exciting sessions, such as:

⚽ Dance, cricket and multi-sports
🌋 Active challenges including Floor is Lava and Codebreaker games

⭐ Daily reflection and Star of the Day awards

Children will also enjoy activities designed to:

Due to increased demand, we are delighted to be expanding our 2-Year-Old Nursery provision, meaning we now have a limited number of afternoon (15 hours) and full-day places (30 hours) available from September.

At Hallwood Park Primary School and Nursery, we pride ourselves on providing a warm, nurturing environment where every child is known, valued and encouraged to thrive.

We also have a small number of 15 and 30-hour places available in our 3 and 4-Year-Old Nursery.

Attendance Reward Water Fight - A new Hallwood Park Tradition ?

Last Friday, every class enjoyed taking part in our attendance reward – a whole-school water fight!

Our attendance last week averaged an amazing 97.3%, which is was above their target of 95%. We are so proud of the children and their families for making attendance such a priority!

The water fight was an absolute hit, with both children and teachers having so much fun! 😄 We think this might just have to become an annual tradition at Hallwood Park!

We still have lots more exciting activities planned over the next few days, so please make sure you continue to come to school every day and don't miss out on the fun!

A huge thank you to the Hallwood Helpers for organising such a wonderful event for our amazing Year 6 pupils last week.

They all looked fantastic, had so much fun, and thoroughly enjoyed the activities that the Hallwood Helpers had so carefully planned. It was a brilliant evening and a lovely way to celebrate the end of their time at Hallwood Park.

We are now looking forward to our Summer Fair tomorrow which the Year 6's are running as well as our Year 6 Leavers' Assembly on Thursday – another special opportunity to celebrate this wonderful group of children before they move on to their next adventure.

In the penultimate Gardening Club of the year, we enjoyed harvesting our potatoes, peas and runner beans — a great reward for all of the children’s hard work and care over the past few months!

Our tomatoes, sweetcorn, blueberries, apples and pears aren’t quite ready yet and won’t ripen in time for the summer holidays, but we’re looking forward to enjoying them when we return in September… if they’re still there! 🍅🌽🫐🍎🍐

It has been wonderful to see the children learning where food comes from, developing patience and responsibility, and taking pride in looking after our garden.

A huge thank you to all of the parents and carers who came along to support our Sports Day today. It was fantastic to see so many of you there cheering the children on.

The children had a brilliant time, showing great enthusiasm, determination and teamwork, and most importantly, enjoying the spirit of competition and having fun together.

A special thank you to Mr Woods, Mr Smith and Mr Ainsworth for helping to get everything set up this morning, and to all of our teachers and teaching assistants whose hard work and support helped the day run so smoothly.

Days like this are only possible because of the teamwork and community spirit around our school — thank you all for being part of it!

🌲 Camp Curiosity – 23rd July 🌲

Join us for Camp Curiosity at Brookvale Community Centre, Northwich Road, WA7 6PE for a day of outdoor adventure, creativity, and fun!

There are two sessions available:

Session 1: 10:00am – 12:00pm
Ages: 5–9 years

Session 2: 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Ages: 9–12 years

Children will enjoy exciting outdoor activities including:
🔥 Campfire cooking
🍡 Toasting marshmallows
🌿 Bushcraft

At the end of last half term, children visited the Catalyst Musem. It was a fantastic day filled with hands on activities to support their learning in Science. They took part in workshops and were able to explore the interactive exhibits.

I have attached a recount written by one of our amazing Falcons students to let you know more about the day in their words- I'm sure you'll be impressed by the quality of the writing!

During the trip, members of the public commented on the excellent behaviour of the children and they behaved sensibly throughout. Thank you to the adults who attended for facilitating such wonderful memories.

It has been a busy week at Hallwood Park, and Owls Class have been having a fantastic time during their Outdoor Learning Days!

There are so many wonderful photographs from the sessions, showing children doing what they do best: exploring, discovering and learning through play. From searching for minibeasts and carefully handling snails, to roasting marshmallows over the campfire and investigating our amazing pond area, the children embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm and curiosity.

We are incredibly grateful to Camp Curiosity for delivering such an engaging and memorable experience. The session leader was full of praise for our children, commenting on their excellent listening skills and ability to follow instructions.

What a wonderful compliment, and what a credit our youngest children are to Hallwood Park, their teachers and their families. We are so proud of them all. 🌿🔥🐌🦆

Thanks as well to the Family Connectors for organising and funding such an amazing project. The children have gained so many valuable skills and joyful memories!
