How have I been staying in shape while travelling? 🏝️
It’s actually not been that hard!
I’ve still eaten cool food 🍕
Gone out, had a social life 🍺
Done lots of sightseeing 🏖️
And managed to stay on top of *most* of my fitness s**t 💪
I honestly thought it would be harder. But the reality is, is that everyone here is sporty, the weather is better, the food is healthier, and there are gyms wherever you go so you can always get a session in! 😎
However if I didn’t have all the above - I can guarantee you I’d still manage it, and that’s all down to priorities;
⭐️ - Calories.
The government behind whether you lose or gain weight. Your cals burned will be higher so you’ll have a bit more flexibility with food, but ultimately just don’t be a dick with it every day and you’re good
⭐️ - Protein
The nutritional driver of whether you grow, maintain, or lose muscle mass. Make sure you’re hitting your minimum 2g per kg of bodyweight and you’re sweet
⭐️ - Steps
Literally the easiest form of expending calories there is. If you’re travelling properly then you’ll be getting lots of these in by default
⭐️ - Training
I love to train so it doesn’t require too much effort for me but if you don’t - shorten your sessions, but make them harder. In and out job, but still record them so you know you’re applying progressive overload
That being said - being in shape isn’t going to make you more attractive. It’s not going to get you more girls or boys, and if it’s going to take away from your enjoyment of travelling - I’d say don’t bother!
