Thanks to Tyrone Ladies GFA Moortown St. Malachys Liam Swift GAA Goalkeeping Academy also to the managers,coaches and clients who placed their trust in my coaching this year. Some great memories from were made through sport in 2024.

Today we completed our 12 week development program for Lgfa youth goalkeepers across 3 regions in Tyrone. A total of 35 girls introduced to goalkeeping coaching at club level.

The girls covered diving,handling,footwork and various aspects of kicking. Massive improvements from week 1 to week 4 were seen across all camps.

Thank you to Tyrone Ladies GFA for trusting me with the program and to coaches Shannon, Caitlin, Amelia and Cliodhna for their help over the weeks.

Basic skills should be the focus in every training session from youth through to senior.

Here we have a participant at one of our goalkeeping camps working on the technique of catching the ball at its highest point.

Her timing of the run, eye on the ball, knee high for protection and which in turn will be the drive in her momentum away. 💯

These girls have never experienced goalkeeping coaching until last week.

Today we focused on the importance of our footwork and how to bring it into a dive.

We finished with this intense diving activity were the girls didn’t have time to think about what they were doing. The diving was great to watch 👏👏👏

🌟Client Progression🌟
CC Rafferty is a goalkeeper for Killyclogher LGFA, I started working with her 12 weeks ago with a plan to focus on her athletic development as a goalkeeper. From the beginning we focused on form and technique and gradually introduced explosive and strength training.

CC’s strength output along with her vertical and broad jump have increased significantly.

A small top up program for the winter period will leave her in a strong position going into pre season next year.
