When we think about gratitude, we might think about big things, special occasions, achievements or exciting memories.

But for children, wellbeing can be built through the smallest moments.

☀️ A favourite breakfast before school.
😂 A silly joke that makes everyone laugh.
🤗 A cuddle after a difficult day.
🌈 Spotting a rainbow on the way home.
📖 A bedtime story read for the hundredth time.

These moments may feel ordinary, but they become part of a child’s sense of safety, belonging and happiness.

There’s no right answer. Sometimes it’s the smallest things that mean the most. 🧡

"Business woman of the year"

At The UK Women's Business Awards, a national celebration of UK small business success. This recognition celebrates the business’s commitment to delivering high-quality services and making a positive impact within its sector.

Speaking on the awards, a spokesperson for The UK Women's Business Awards said: “The standard of entries this year has been incredibly high. Each finalist has demonstrated an exceptional level of dedication and achievement, representing the very best of UK small businesses.”

As a finalist, Mini Minds Matter UK stands among the most accomplished small businesses in the UK, recognised for its performance, innovation, and continued commitment to excellence.

“We are incredibly honoured and proud to be recognised as a finalist at The UK Women's Business Awards,” Julie said it’s a privilege to be recognised for the work we are doing in our sector.

The UK Women's Business Awards will take place on 18 December 2026 at The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham, where finalists from across the UK will come together as the National Top 10 are revealed live on stage and live-streamed worldwide for those unable to attend.

In the busy rush of everyday life, it can be easy to focus on what children need to do.

Get dressed.
Eat breakfast.
Put your shoes on.
Stop arguing.
Finish your homework.

But sometimes, what they need most is a moment of connection.

A cuddle.
A few minutes of play.
A “Tell me about your day.”
Sitting beside them without needing to fix anything.

These little moments tell a child:

✨ I see you.
✨ I hear you.
✨ You matter to me.
✨ You’re safe to be yourself.

Today, try putting everything else down for a moment and simply be with your child. 💚

It can be:

🏡 A home where they feel safe
👂 Someone who listens without judgement
💬 Space to talk about big feelings
🤗 A comforting hug after a difficult day
🌱 Freedom to make mistakes, learn and grow
❤️ Knowing they are loved even when things feel tricky

We can’t make every day perfect for our children. But we can help create an environment where they know they are supported, heard and valued.

Because when little minds feel safe, they have space to grow. 🌱

Hello October! 🍁

A new month means a new Uniqueasaurus adventure and this month we’re celebrating what makes every child wonderfully, brilliantly unique. 💚

And what better way to start than with a little autumn wellbeing fact?

🍂 Did you know that spending time in nature can support children’s wellbeing?

And here’s the Uniqueasaurus bit…

Every child might experience these things differently.

One child might love jumping in muddy puddles.

Another might prefer collecting leaves.

Someone else might find certain textures, sounds or weather overwhelming.

And that’s okay.

There’s no one “right” way to enjoy autumn just like there’s no one right way to be a child. 💚

As parents, we don’t need to make every moment educational or exciting.

Sometimes, simply being outside together, noticing what’s around us and following our child’s lead is enough.

So this October, let’s celebrate the things that make our children uniquely them and give them plenty of space to explore the world in their own way. 🦖🍂
