A snapshot of me and Barb yesterday after getting together to plan ‘Rooted and Flying’, happening this Sunday!

We’ve met many times, to explore ideas, share inspirations, and refine our plans for the day - We’re really putting our hearts and souls into this one! And it’s been a great excuse to hang out at the lovely, peaceful, Swarthmoor Hall where the event will take place 🙂

What has emerged is a rich convergence of both of our philosophies and practices, with plenty of fun and hopefully a bit of alchemy in the mix! We’re excited to share this unique event with you.

The flying creatures were out in force today, enjoying the sunshine at Swarthmoor Hall, the venue for our Rooted and Flying event on August the 16th!

This day will be all about coming into full presence with life, tapping into a deeper sense of self, a joyful spirit, and supping on the sweet nectar of existence!

We are so excited to be collaborating with the inspirational Barb Cushnie for our Rooted and Flying day in August! Many of you may know Barb from her acupuncture practice, or Qi Gong and dance sessions locally. We don't think she blows her own trumpet enough so we're going to do it for her!

Barb has been immersed in the world of Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 20 years as an acupuncturist, and has been training in and practicing Qi Gong for 15. In her younger years Barb worked as a contemporary/creative community dance teacher and over recent years Barb has been studying the science of the mind body connection through the lens of neuroscience and neuro-endocrinology. Her experience and perspective brings ancient practices & wisdom to life whist her deeply somatic and embodied approach empowers people towards exploring better balance, strength, calm and natural joy.

We're still on a high after taking part in the wonderful 'Space to Emerge' last weekend at Fell Foot Woods! It's a yearly event and an incredible weekend of nature connection, community, and spiritual exploration, set in a beautiful bluebell woodland. I'm always surprised that there aren't more Cumbrians there, as it's right on our doorstep!
