Please, please, please name everything that your Little Wren wears and brings to nursery, it’s sometimes very tricky to reunite items with their owner, thank you!

We all had a chat yesterday about how we want to carry on with this group and get more people in to enjoy the safe fun place to play.
We have decided to stick with our Thursday mornings as our core clientelle can do this day.
We open at 9.30am to set up the hall. Then the doors open officially at 10.00am. Then play stops at 11am and everyone, including the children to teach them about tidying up, puts the equipment back in the cupboard.
Tea, coffee, squash and treats are available.
LOTS of parking too!!
Please share this with all your friends with babies and toddlers - it is such a lovely space to meet in - we don't want it to disappear!!!

At Little Wrens, we use Tapestry to create a permanent record of your child’s experiences, development and unique learning journey through their time with us.
Using photos, and videos, the staff, along with parents or carers, and the child themselves, ‘weave’ their story of how they are growing and developing.
Parents or carers are able to view via the app or online, their child’s progress, the activities provided for them, and how much fun they’re having, whilst also adding their own comments and media which is so important.
The connection and communication between staff and parents that Tapestry enables, helps build a shared understanding of how every child can reach their full potential.

Places available to start in September, get in touch today to arrange your visit.

We’re really looking forward to meeting our new Little Wrens soon, here are a few tips to support the start of their journey with us.

Today we learnt how to light a fire and be around them safely, we were even able to cook marshmallows and eat them!

Fun with shaving foam and dinosaurs as well as a water park in our side garden this week!

So many different and positive ways to say “Be Careful”! We love risky play, letting the children consider their actions, allowing them space to decide on their play.

Hope you’re all having a baa-rilliant Father’s Day x🫶🏻

Play, exploration and learning is messy - and so essential!
It’s good to get messy, especially at nursery as it shows exactly what the children have been up to.

🌍Happy Earth Day everyone🪴
This , stop to take in the nature around you, why not let us know what you see today.🌍
🌏UK nature is beautiful but under threat - we can all do our bit to save and restore it.🌱

🏴Today we talked about St George’s Day and how George saved the villages from the Dragon 🐉. The story of Mr Tickle and the Dragon was also shared with the children; Mr Tickle helped the dragon to use his fire to help people like warming up a swimming pool, rather than burning things down for fun!🔥.

We still have a few places for this summer term starting immediately with no minimum session requirement. We don’t have set starting dates, so why not get in touch and come and see for yourself what playing and learning at Little Wrens looks like. [email protected].

Why do children go UP the slide?
They are seeking risk and challenge in their play.
Children feel powerful scaling the slide. Going up the side is fun. It's healthy adventure, often part of imaginative play. Climbing the slide helps children test their strength find their limits and gain balance, spatial awareness, and yes, social awareness and consideration.

Risky Play and what to say!
“testing limits and learning about boundaries as children challenge themselves with fun and interesting activities where they are trusted to explore the risks involved.”
