A huge well done to all our students who have taken LAMDA examinations this year. As usual we had an excellent set of examinations results in both sessions with the majority of students gaining DISTINCTIONS.
We have taught LAMDA exams for 24 years and offer the full range of subjects - Acting, Devising, Musical Theatre, Public Speaking, Speaking of Verse and prose, Mime as well as the Diplomas.
Our Artistic Director was a LAMDA examiner for a number of years and also writes for the Acting syllabus so we are in a good place to help your child. We run a private exam session each term as well so students take their exams at Hampton Hill Theatre.
The LAMDA exams are a great way on building skills, creativity and confidence in performance and public speaking as well as working towards nationally recognised qualifications. From Grade 6 upwards they are also worth UCAS points for university entrance. Good luck to our next group of students taking exams in December.

At Step on Stage we’ve never just been about the show. Whilst having the shows is amazing and we LOVE our shows. As a performing arts teachers and practitioners we also feel there is so much value is exploring other skills, developing techniques, building confidence and self esteem, exploring the wider arts and looking at process as well as performance.

Step on Stage Social! This weekend a few of us went up to London to see West End Live in Trafalgar Square. A whole weekend of FREE musical theatre, live. London does this well…a free concert bringing together the best shows and the best performers spreading happiness, joy, love and musical theatre to thousands. We had the best day and also super happy to support too!

Did you know we don’t just get our students acting and dancing…. We also teaching individual singing lessons, piano, music theory and get our young musicians involved in our shows and performances such as our young drummer here. He’s only been playing 18 months, but got to play two full songs… Believer and a Queen Medley drum with our professional band and accompany 70 singers. Not bad when you’re 8! At our fabulous summer concert we also had two of our wonderful young pianists perform solos… the James Bond Theme and Worrisome Blues from Grade 4 and we also had four of our singers perform two duets! Such a great experience for these young soloists.

What a fabulous time we had today performing at the Royal Windsor Flower Show. thanks so much to for inviting us to perform. The absolute highlight was singing for the Countess of Wessex. The students were so happy and excited to meet her and have the chat to chat to her as well. It was such a lovely event and a great opportunity for our students to perform outside of their usual theatre space. The sun came out and there were so many wonderful stalls and performers. A great day out! Next week brings more performances. It’s non stop for us.

On Saturday these amazing young performers will be singing some of their songs at the Royal Windsor Flower show and for the Countess of Cornwall. We are super excited!! We have a small selection from our big selection which we will@be finally singing next weekend for our end of year Musical Showcase and Prizegiving. These performers are so amazing to work with and so super talented too and what’s more they live music and singing. One of the biggest things we encourage is gaining a passion for the arts and creativity and the many life skills that can bring with it. Not everyone will become a professional performer but the transferable skills are so rewarding… collaboration, confidence, independence, leadership, public speaking, presentation skills, and so much more. Offering a wide range of performance opportunities to.
