A cheaper, more fun alternative to the London Eye?! Sure - the London Eye is great, but at £30 a ticket it’s a big chunk of your budget, it's crowded (OMG you should see the queues!) and you have to share the pod with other people. Kids get bored (trust me on this one) and 30mins is a long time to be standing if you weren't one of the lucky few to grab the bench. We still love it of course, but……
Head to North Greenwich and go on the most amazing cable car ride instead. The UK’s ONLY cable car gives you views like nothing else (just as good as the Eye). 90 meters above the air, crossing the Thames, everyone gets a seat and the kids love it! Thrilling and exciting at the same time and you get a pod all to yourself! At only £12 for a round trip (£6 for under 12’s) this is a really great alternative. Book in advance online (also cheaper) and you bypass the queue and just jump on!
Top tip!
Get there by uber boat (North Greenwich pier)! London by river is such a treat. The uber boat pier is a few mins from the cable car entrance.
After 7pm they slow down the ride so you can take in even more of the view!

1. Visit the Olympic Pool. Every holiday this incredible 50 metre pool is transformed into an inflatable obstacle course, creating the UK's biggest AquaSplash. Safe, unusual and very well organised. This is an experience like no other!
2. Head to North Greenwich and take to the air in the UK's only urban cable car. Fly 90meters high as you cross the Thames and take in the incredible views. Way more fun (and cheaper) that the London Eye. You can even sit in a cabin with only your group. This is a thrilling, fun & totally unique experience!
3. Visit Granary Square Fountains - this is the best watery playground in London. Over 1000+ shooting jets of water in choreographed patters. Hands down the most fun way to cool off on a hot day. You will get soaked!
