As we reach the end of Term 5, we would like to wish all of our Oakley families a wonderful, sunny and restful half term ☀️

It has been another busy and inspiring term across the school, with pupils enjoying a wide range of enriching experiences—from creative Expressive Arts and sensory learning opportunities to exciting trips and community activities.

🌿 Another Busy Week at Oakley School! 🌿

It may have been a short week, but it’s certainly been a memorable one!
Our Year 6 pupils have been away on their residential at Bore Place—many experiencing their first night away from home. From farm visits and pizza making to a special bonfire evening, it has been a fantastic opportunity to build confidence, independence and friendships. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved 👏

We also celebrated VE Day with Nexus School—our “Nexoaks” collaboration was full of energy, music and joy! 🎶

Meanwhile, Hever Class took part in a Global Kitchen workshop, exploring important themes like foodbanks while getting creative with hands-on activities.

Welcome to Term 5 at Oakley School!

We hope all our families enjoyed a restful Easter break. It’s been wonderful to welcome pupils back this week — everyone has returned in great spirits and ready for another busy and positive half term.

This term, our whole‑school topic is Global Kitchen, where pupils will explore foods, flavours and traditions from around the world. Through cooking and food experiences, children will be building communication, independence, sensory exploration and important life skills.

Families can support this learning at home by:
✅ Talking about food, colours and tastes
✅ Involving children in simple cooking or mealtime activities
✅ Sharing family recipes or cultural dishes with class teams

What a wonderful way to end the term at Oakley School 🌸

This spring has been packed with smiles, creativity and teamwork — from Easter fundraising and outdoor adventures to music, museums and magical moments in Forest School. Our pupils have worked incredibly hard, and we’re so proud of everything they’ve achieved.

A huge thank you to our staff, families and wider community for your ongoing support, kindness and encouragement.
