We walked to the bus stop, but unfortunately there was a lot of traffic, so the bus was running a bit late. We nearly gave up and decided to walk instead, but luckily it turned up just in time!

We headed to the park first and had lots of fun playing on the equipment. We then made our way down to the boating lake and took the boats out. It was such a laugh, with lots of going around in circles! 😂 After that, we had lunch in the shade before heading towards the beach in search of an ice cream.

Once we’d enjoyed our ice creams, we went over to the green (which is looking more brown at the moment!) where we saw a fete raising money for Perran Bay Care Home. We had a go at the coconut shy and won a coconut, then tried our hand at basketball, throwing the ball into the nets and even having a go at whack a rat! 😂 We all won a sweet each and then had a go at the lucky dip.

A lot of fun was had, but eventually it was time to head back home on the bus. A lovely, fun-filled day!

Today we enjoyed a lovely colour scavenger hunt as we explored the lanes and ventured through the woods. The children were excited to search for different colours in the natural environment, spotting colourful flowers, green leaves, brown tree trunks, blue skies, and many other treasures along the way.

The children showed great enthusiasm as they carefully observed their surroundings, talked about the colours they could see, and compared the different objects they found. This activity encouraged them to develop their communication and language skills, extend their colour recognition, and build their understanding of the world around them.

Our walk also supported physical development as the children climbed, balanced, and navigated different woodland paths and uneven terrain. Most importantly, they had lots of fun exploring nature, working together, and discovering that learning can happen everywhere we go.

The best part of our day was a very special surprise! As we were walking along the lanes, we spotted a small deer standing quietly in the middle of the road, looking straight at us. 🦌

The children stood calmly and watched in amazement, enjoying this wonderful opportunity to see wildlife in its natural habitat. It sparked lots of excitement and conversation, helping the children develop their understanding of the world around them while creating a magical memory that we will all remember.

As another wonderful term comes to an end, we have said goodbye to some incredible children who are moving on to exciting new adventures, whether that's starting primary school, secondary school, or simply moving on from our setting.

We have had a fantastic year filled with fun, laughter, learning, and so many special memories. We are so proud of each and every one of them and wish them all the very best in their future adventures.

A huge thank you to all our families for your continued support and for the thoughtful end-of-term gifts. Your kindness and generosity mean so much to us, and we truly feel appreciated.

Here's to making many more wonderful memories in the year ahead. Have a fantastic summer!
