If Silver Birch was close by to the beach we would definitely do beach school! Sharing the same child-led, holistic learning ethos as forest school but on the shoreline exploring marine and tidal environments.
I would absolutely be in my element ๐ŸŒŠ

Our family are super passionate about protecting wildlife, especially marine conservation ๐Ÿข ๐Ÿ‹ ๐ŸŸ

Miss W is particularly disgusted when she spots litter ANYWHERE, and totally saddened if it's on a beach. Today she was enthused to spot litter pickers at the entrance to a beach ๐Ÿ‘ Slotting one under her arm off she trotted spending a good part of the afternoon collecting rubbish from this huge beautiful beach.

Thumbs up to the caring responsible 8 year old ๐Ÿ‘
Thumbs down to the lazy irresponsible adults who left their rubbish๐Ÿ‘Ž

A craft cupboard tidy up unearthed a project that I started during the first lockdown (6 years ago ๐Ÿซช)...

I designed and painted many peg people and story spoons for the playroom, but one set was never finished before normality returned with busy hectic life commencing...

It's no secret now that for the last month I've had a broken thumb which was severely damaged by a cricket ball ๐Ÿ‘Ž
I have managed to work, it's only a thumb after all but I've been unable to train or play cricket which usually takes up every spare moment of my non working time during the summer months.

Super sad about this so I've had to find something else to keep my mind content, especially when at the club watching my children train and play.

This week I've finally finished our gruffalo story spoons to add to our story sack. One of my most favourite Julia Donaldson books. Now all ready in the book corner for our small ones to boost their imagination, retell stories and build on their language skills ๐ŸŒณ

Not perfect, I'm such a perfectionist with my art work. Limited digits has made it a bit tricky but happy they are now finished...

Armed with a bucket of water and sponges the schoolies collectively decided they wanted to clean the climbing frame.
Random but okay kids. Kept them busy for at least an hour!
