, I empower my clients to find new ways to bring more joy and confidence into their lives. She's Got Guts® was started to promote greater wellbeing through supporting our gut microbiome. This also includes coaching around mindset. When we are able to let go of past events and limiting beliefs that are holding us back from living a life we really want, we are free to experience greater happiness, confidence and success. Since 2012 I have run self development courses with small creative groups of women. Enabling them to let go of limiting beliefs and start building the life they really want. In 2019 I trained as a nutritional therapist as I became increasingly interested in the connection between gut health and the effect on our overall wellbeing. I have introduced many clients to my 21 day gut reset programme as part of their journey to elite health and greater wellbeing. Also Certified in the Science of Wellbeing, that uses positive psychology and science based evidence to teach us to gain more happiness. The final piece of the jigsaw was qualifying as a One Of Many Coach. Ever feel tired, sluggish, or like your body’s fighting you after every meal?

That’s not just “getting older” or “being busy.” Nine times out of ten, it’s your gut trying to get your attention.

You may be surprised to know that your gut microbiome (those trillions of little bacteria doing the work down there) affects way more than digestion. When it’s out of balance, it shows up as:

🍂 Persistent fatigue — tired no matter how much you sleep
🍂 Sluggishness — low energy, low motivation
🍂 Digestive discomfort — indigestion, reflux, IBS-type symptoms
🍂 Bloating — that “why do I look 5 months pregnant” feeling
🍂 Food cravings — especially the ones you can’t seem to shake
🍂 Dietary struggles — certain foods just don’t sit right anymore
🍂 Brain fog — forgetfulness, trouble focusing
🍂 Stubborn weight — that won’t budge no matter what you try

Do these sound familiar? You’re not broken, and you’re not alone. Your gut is just quietly asking for a little nourishment.

✨ Nourish: feed it what it actually needs
✨ Release: let go of the habits (and the guilt) that keep it stuck
✨ Sparkle: feel like yourself again

I’ve put together a free guide “ 30 Things Quietly Undermining Your Gut Health” to help you spot exactly what’s holding you back. Grab it below and start the first step towards a happier gut 👇

I founded a Samba school in Cornwall. I know — unexpected.

But I did it because this story happened to me, and then I watched, over and over again, what happens to a woman when she allows herself to move freely. To make noise. To take up space. To be seen, not as a mother or a wife or a colleague, but as a woman who is fully, joyfully alive.

Something shifts. It's not subtle. It's visible.

Because here's what I believe: we were not designed to be small. We were designed to express ourselves, creatively, physically, socially. And when we stop doing that, when life gets serious and responsible and relentless, a part of us goes quiet.

Getting that part back isn't frivolous. It's essential.

It doesn't have to be Samba. It might be painting. Writing. Singing badly in the car. Starting a conversation with a stranger. Wearing the thing you've been saving for a special occasion that never seems to come.

One act of genuine self-expression today. That's all.

What's one way you used to express yourself that you've let go of? 👇

Who are you when nobody needs anything from you?

It's a question that can feel almost impossible to answer when you've spent years being the person everyone else relies on.

The mum. The partner. The carer. The colleague who always comes through. The friend who holds everyone else together.

These roles matter. They're real and they're beautiful. But they are not all of you.

One of the most common things I witness in my work is a woman reaching a point, often after a significant life event, where the roles that have defined her start to shift. Children leave. Relationships change. A career ends or evolves. And suddenly she's face to face with a question she hasn't had to answer in years: who am I, actually?

That question can feel terrifying. But it can also be the most exciting question you've ever been asked.

Because on the other side of it is you. Just you. With all your desires and curiosities and possibilities intact.

Finish this sentence: outside of everything I do for others, I am someone who...

Take your time. It might be the most important thing you write today 👇

When did you last do something just because it made you happy?

Not because it was productive. Not because it was on the list. Not because someone needed you to. Just because it lit you up from the inside.

I asked a client this question recently and she went quiet for a long time.

Then she said — 'I genuinely can't remember.'

She wasn't sad about it in that moment. She was just honest. And that honesty was the beginning of everything changing for her.

Joy doesn't disappear. It just gets buried under responsibility, routine and the relentless business of keeping everything going.

Here's a small exercise: think of three things that used to make you lose track of time completely. Activities, places, people. Things that made you feel like yourself.

Now ask — when did I last do any of them?

You don't need to overhaul your life. You just need to give yourself permission to start.

What's one thing that always makes you feel like you? Tell me below 👇

Confidence isn't something you either have or you don't.

I used to think it was. I used to look at women who seemed completely at ease with themselves and think — they've got something I haven't.

What I've learned — through my own life and through years of working with women — is that confidence is a practice. It's built in small acts, repeated consistently, over time.

Not grand gestures. Not big leaps. Small ones.

Saying what you actually think in a conversation. Choosing yourself instead of shrinking. Doing the thing you've been putting off for one small step — not the whole journey, just one step.

Every time you do something that feels a little scary and survive it, your nervous system gets the message: I am safe. I can do this.

Here's something to try today: identify one small thing you've been avoiding out of fear. Not the biggest thing — the smallest. And do just that one thing.

Courage isn't the absence of fear. It's choosing to move anyway.

What's one small courageous act you could take today? 👇

Here's something I want you to know about the patterns that are keeping you stuck:
They made sense once.
The people pleasing. The shrinking. The putting everyone else first. The feeling that your needs don't really matter as much as everyone else's.
At some point in your life those patterns were how you kept yourself safe. How you kept the peace. How you kept the love coming. They weren't weaknesses — they were adaptations.
But you're not that girl anymore. And what kept you safe then is keeping you small now.
One of the most powerful moments I witness in my work is when a woman realises — really realises — that she's not broken. She's just been running an old programme on new hardware.
Think about one pattern you keep seeing in yourself that frustrates you. Now ask — when did I first learn to do this? Who taught me, even if they didn't mean to?
Understanding where it came from doesn't excuse it. But it does make it possible to change.
Does any of this resonate with you? 👇

For some reason I completely missed the announcement when I was awarded Holistic Health and Wellness Coach of the Year 2025!! So now I get to share this award that means a huge amount to me in recognising the work I have been doing for many years and how She's Got Guts® has been improving my clients health and wellbeing.

There's a conversation I have with almost every woman I work with, usually in the first session.

I ask her what she wants to change. She tells me. Then I ask — so what's stopping you?

And after a pause, almost every time, the answer is some version of: "I don't know. I just can't seem to make myself do it."

Here's what I've learned: we don't get stuck because we're lazy or lacking willpower. We get stuck because somewhere beneath the surface there's a story running. A belief we picked up a long time ago that says we're not quite enough, not quite ready, not quite worthy of the thing we want.

Most of us don't even know the story is there. We just feel its effects.

Try this: write down one thing you keep saying you want but haven't moved toward. Then finish this sentence honestly — 'If I actually go for this, I'm afraid that...'

Don't edit it. Don't judge it. Just let it come.

What comes up is usually the story. And seeing it clearly is the first step to rewriting it.

What does your inner critic tell you most often? You don't have to share — but if you want to, I'm here 👇
