Hi! I’m Alex 👋🏼

I’ve spent almost 15 years working with children, and Miss H Tuition has grown from everything I’ve learned, loved and experienced along the way.

I’m passionate about creating learning experiences that children actually want to be part of - where there’s room for curiosity, creativity, play, connection and fun.

I’m also passionate about celebrating the things that might not show up on a worksheet - confidence, communication, independence, resilience, having a go and discovering “I can do this.”

Alongside 1:1 tuition, I’m also growing my small-group clubs and learning opportunities, creating spaces for children to learn, create, connect and have fun together.

So if you’re a parent looking for a different kind of learning experience, or you simply love seeing children learn in ways that feel right for them, you’re very welcome here.

Miss H Tuition is about giving young people the chance to experience success. To feel capable, empowered and proud of themselves. To discover strengths, skills and interests they may never have realised they had, while opening the door to new opportunities and possibilities for their future.

Learning doesn’t have to look the same for every child, and every young person deserves the chance to thrive in a way that works for them.

My lovely Animal Heroes have continued their mission to support Skiathos Dog Shelter 💙

As part of their ‘Pieces of Hope’ mission, the girls created their own beautiful mosaic coasters inspired by the colours of Greece ✨🌀🎨🇬🇷🧿

A New Way to Access Support 💛💛💛

I’m incredibly grateful to say that all of my daytime and after-school 1:1 tutoring sessions are currently fully booked, with my waiting list continuing to grow.

As many of my families stay with me long term, waiting for a 1:1 space can sometimes take quite a while. I know for some families this can feel frustrating when they are looking for support sooner, which is why I’m excited to be launching two brand-new small groups this September.

These groups have been created to provide another way for children to access personalised, nurturing support in a small, supportive environment.

🧱 Build & Connect

A relationship-led Lego club for children who thrive in calm, small-group environments, using shared interests to naturally develop communication, confidence and social connection.

I’m so excited to finally share something I’ve been working on behind the scenes…

Introducing Grow + Glow – a brand new small-group English & Maths group for children in Years 3 & 4.

With a maximum of 4 children, these sessions combine the personalised support of tuition with the benefits of learning alongside others. Children have the opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, learn from one another and celebrate their successes together - all in a calm, supportive environment.

Every session is designed to help children:

🌱 Build confidence in English & Maths
🌱 Strengthen key skills through engaging, hands-on learning
🌱 Develop independence and resilience
🌱 Learn alongside peers in a small, carefully supported group
🌱 Enjoy learning and believe in themselves

Because when children feel confident, they’re much more willing to have a go, make mistakes and discover what they’re capable of.

Grow + Glow Group
🌞 Years 3 & 4
🌞 Maximum 4 children
🌞 Treeton | Mondays | 4:10–5:00pm
🌞 Starting September
🌞 £35 per session
