📚✨ Thank You inspired collages!

Last week when reading Thank You by Jarvis as part of the , and we were so inspired by the beautiful collage illustrations, we created our own! 🎨✂️

The children practiced their scissor skills, carefully cutting up paper and choosing what to create — from butterflies 🦋 to shapes 🔺 and cars 🚗 — and shared what they were thankful for along the way 💛

Today’s tuff tray was a roarsome hit — with dinosaurs stomping through jelly, slime, and crackling jelly baff! 💚✨

From climbing and balancing, running wild through tall grass and blooming wildflowers 🌾🌸, and giggling together on the giant basket swing 💚

So much joy, fresh air, and freedom to explore. These are the moments where confidence, coordination, friendships, and wonder truly blossom 🌞💫

💧✨ Simple setup, big fun! ✨💧

Today’s tuff tray was a hit — fizzing bath bombs, water, spoons, and pipettes kept the children fully engaged from start to finish! 🛁🧪 Sometimes the simplest ideas spark the most curiosity 💭💙

A tuff tray is perfect for containing mess (especially with water play!) and doesn’t need to be elaborate — this easy sensory setup was all about hands-on fun, exploring cause and effect, and developing fine motor skills 🙌🌈

🌬️📚 Learning About Windrush Through Storytelling & Play 🧣🌍

Yesterday, we gently introduced the story of the Windrush Generation using our colourful story time scarves to bring the journey to life. Through movement, music, and storytelling, we explored themes of travel, culture, and belonging in an age-appropriate and meaningful way.

The children:
🎧 Listened to the sounds of waves and danced like the sea using our scarves 🌊
🧣 Moved and flowed with the music, imagining what it might feel like to travel across the ocean
🧳 Role played packing a suitcase, choosing what they’d take on a big adventure
✈️ Chatted about their own travel experiences or imagined trips

Through movement, storytelling, and play, we’re helping our little ones build empathy, cultural awareness, and a love for learning about the wider world 🌎

🤝 Enjoyed play dates with our wonderful Tiney childminder friends
☕ Discovered a lovely new community coffee shop with the perfect kids’ corner – happy grown-ups, happy little ones!
