Playaway Pre-School North Tonbridge Preschool for 2-5 year olds We are a private Pre-school on the grounds of Cage Green Primary feeding into all local schools. Ofsted rating Good in October 2021.

Pigs in blankets are a festive favourite. But did you know they’re a common choking hazard?

The sausage is the perfect size and shape to completely block a child’s airway. Plus, the bacon can be difficult for little mouths to break down. That’s why it is advised to cut pigs in blankets into thin strips for little ones.

Glycerol is often used to create the slush effect. But in high quantities, especially to children under five, glycerol can cause shock, hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) and loss of consciousness.

That’s why slushies with glycerol are not recommended for children under five.
