💕 That’s a wrap for another busy month at Michala’s Mini Munchkins!

I’m officially OUT OF OFFICE and closed for one week for a little well-deserved annual leave. ☀️

Thank you as always for your continued support.

🧁💕ALL ABOUT ME THEME FINALE💕🧁

Today we brought our All About Me theme to a lovely close with something a little bit special — our very own All About Me cupcakes! 🥰🧁

Over the past few weeks we’ve been celebrating what makes each of our Munchkins unique and special. We’ve talked about our families, the people we love, our favourite things, what makes us happy and all the wonderful little things that make us us. ❤️

So what better way to finish our theme than with some baking fun! 👩‍🍳✨

The Munchkins have been busy mixing, decorating and creating their own special cupcakes — and they were VERY proud of their finished creations. And of course, we couldn’t eat them all here. They have been carefully boxed up and are ready to go home and be shared with their families later. 💕🏠

It’s been such a gorgeous theme filled with conversations, creativity, laughter and lots of opportunities for the children to learn more about themselves and each other. ❤️

And now our cupcakes are boxed up and ready… we’re off to the park.🌳🍂🛝

Time for some fresh air, exploring, running, climbing and plenty of outdoor fun to finish our All About Me adventure. 🥰

🌱🏡 Growing Our Own Cress Houses🏡🌱

Just look at our gorgeous little houses! 🥰

Today the Munchkins have been busy creating their very own cress gardens.

First, they coloured and decorated their houses, making each one completely unique. 🎨 We then added lots of colourful lollipop sticks to make little garden fences before filling our gardens with soil.

Then came the important job… tiny fingers carefully sprinkled cress seeds across the soil before giving them a little drink of water. 💦🌱

We’ve placed our little people inside too, so each Munchkin has their very own miniature garden to look after.🏡❤️

Over the next few days we’ll be watching closely for the first little green shoots to appear.

Such a simple activity, but packed with learning — creativity, fine motor skills, caring for living things and beginning to understand what plants need in order to grow.

And of course, once our cress is ready… we’ll be having a little taste! 😋🌱

🎨 All About Me – Our Family Peg Dolls 🎨

Today we enjoyed a lovely family-themed creative activity as part of our All About Me theme. 💕

Before we got our paintbrushes out, we spent some time talking about our families and the people who are special to us. We chatted about how families can all look different and that there is no one “right” type of family. Some families may have lots of people, some may be smaller, and families can be made up of parents, brothers and sisters, grandparents, pets and other special people we love. ❤️

The Munchkins then chose their own peg dolls and got busy painting their family members, thinking carefully about their different features.

The bigger munchkins added in eyes, noses and mouths, with each Munchkin making their dolls unique and personal to their own family.

It was lovely listening to all the conversations as they painted and hearing the Munchkins proudly talk about the people who are important to them. 🥰

This activity encouraged so much learning through play, including fine motor skills, creativity, language development, recognising similarities and differences, talking about relationships and developing a positive sense of identity and belonging. 🌈

Most importantly, it was a beautiful reminder that every family is special and every family is unique. ❤️🏡✨

🎉🪁 Today we celebrated my 21st birthday… again! 😂

Okay, okay… maybe it’s not actually my 21st, but let’s just pretend! 🤣

To celebrate my birthday tomorrow, the Munchkins and I headed to Knighthayes for a lovely birthday adventure — flying kites 🪁, playing in the park, running around, jumping in puddles and enjoying lots of fresh air and outdoor fun! 🌳☀️

Our adventure also provided huge learning opportunities without the Munchkins even realising! 🥰 We compared the sizes of pumpkins, counted and spotted different colours, practised our physical skills through running, climbing and playing, and explored the outdoors while noticing the little signs that Autumn is on its way 🍂🍁

And of course, no birthday celebration would be complete without cake… 🎂

I let the Munchkins choose the flavours and they chose STRAWBERRY 🍓 and CHOCOLATE 🍫 — because apparently one cake is simply not enough! 😂

I honestly can’t think of a better way to celebrate than doing what I love, surrounded by some of my wonderful little Munchkins, lots of laughter, outdoor adventures and TWO cakes! 🥰❤️

So here’s to being 21 again… with 25 years of extra experience! 🤣🎉🪁🎂

🌈 ALL ABOUT ME – SELF PORTRAITS 🌈

Today my mini Munchkins became little artists as they created their very own self portraits.❤️

Before they picked up their paintbrushes, each Munchkin spent some time looking carefully at themselves in the mirror. We talked about what they could see — their eyes, hair, face and features — and then they were encouraged to have a go at painting themselves.

And the best part? There was no input from me at all! They were completely free to decide what they wanted their portraits to look like and which colours and marks to use.

I absolutely love seeing how differently each Munchkin interpreted themselves. Some were beginning to recognise and represent facial features, while others explored colour, shapes and marks in their own wonderfully unique ways.

I also asked each Munchkin to tell me about their finished picture, and their little explanations were just priceless! 🥰

✨ Munchkin B: “That’s me and baby B and the flowers in the garden.”🌺

✨ Munchkin C: “That’s me in the garden, and there’s an octopus in the sky!” 🐙

✨Munchkin L : “That’s me!” ❤️

These little masterpieces are now proudly displayed on their easels alongside their words — because who better to tell us about their artwork than the artist themselves? 🥰🎨

A beautiful little part of our All About Me month, celebrating individuality, self-expression, imagination and simply being ME.🌈❤️

🐾🎂 HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY, RALPH! 🎂🐾

Today we are celebrating our very special four-legged friend Ralph turning ONE! 🥳🐶💙

Of course, the Munchkins couldn’t let Ralph’s big day go by without making him something special! So yesterday we got busy in the kitchen making homemade birthday biscuits just for Ralph. 🐾👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

The Munchkins helped weigh and measure the ingredients, mash the banana, mix everything together, roll out the dough and cut out our special biscuits. We even made some gorgeous little dog bones and Ralph-shaped biscuits!

And because we know our own Munchkins have some very special furry friends waiting for them at home, we made extra biscuits for the Munchkins' dogs to enjoy too. 🐕❤️ Each little bag was packaged up ready to take home as a special birthday treat.

There was flour EVERYWHERE, lots of messy little hands and plenty of concentration… but most importantly, lots of fun.🥰

And the birthday boy Ralph gave his biscuits the ultimate seal of approval! 😋🐶

☕🎨 A Very Special Big Munchkin Day! 🎨☕

Today was all about celebrating our two biggest Munchkins, who have been absolutely amazing at welcoming our newest little Munchkins into the setting. 🥹💕

They have shown such kindness, patience and thoughtfulness, helping their new friends feel settled, joining them in play and showing them all the fun we get up to here at Michala’s Mini Munchkins. 🧸🌈

So, I decided they deserved a little Big Munchkin treat day! 🥰 We headed to Costa for delicious hot chocolates and a little treat ☕🍪 before heading off to Happy Glaze Pottery for some pottery painting.🎨 It was such a lovely morning filled with giggles, creativity and some very proud Big Munchkins. ❤️

Sometimes the little acts of kindness deserve a BIG thank you… and today was my way of saying thank you for being such wonderful role models and big friends! 🥰🌟

You two really are something special.

Another day, another first day… and what a wonderful one it’s been! 🥰💛

Today we welcomed our youngest Munchkin currently in the setting, and they have had the loveliest day exploring, playing and settling into their new surroundings. 🧸🌿

Lots of smiles, cuddles and happy little moments.💕 Another little Munchkin officially part of our family and we can’t wait to spend our days with you Munchkin O.🥰
