On Friday, we celebrated our wonderful Year 6 leavers. It was a very special morning at the church, where we listened to some of their favourite memories, enjoyed their beautiful songs, and witnessed them being presented with their own Bibles. It was a fitting way to mark the end of their primary school journey, and we are incredibly proud of all they have achieved 🎓 💚

Our Wildlife Champions were lucky enough to take a trip to Exeter this week where they enjoyed a talk about mini beasts and explored looking for some. One of our lucky children found a fire fly larvae. They also learnt about recycling and composting where they also looked through the compost for creatures 🐛 🦋

We had a lovely ECO Club session after school this week, during beach school in the day time the children had collected rocks to then decorate 🦋

Bantam class have been busy developing their cutting skills in DT! 🥗
This half term, the children are exploring Greek salads and learning what it takes to become budding chefs. They have been practising safe knife techniques and building their confidence with a range of cutting skills 🥗

☀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Sports Day Success! 🏅🎉
What a fantastic Sports Day we had yesterday! Despite the hot weather, everyone showed incredible enthusiasm, determination, and team spirit throughout the day. We are so proud of all our children for giving their best and having fun while taking part in the events.
A huge thank you to all the families who came along to support and encourage the children 👏💙
We would also like to say a big thank you to the FTS for providing the delicious ice lollies afterwards. They were a very welcome treat and helped everyone cool down after such a warm and active morning! 🍦☀️

🌿🐞 Butter Cove Forest School – Tuesday Adventures! 🐞🌿
This week at Forest School, our Butter Cove children became nature explorers as they went bug hunting around the Forest School grounds. Armed with magnifying glasses and plenty of curiosity, they searched under logs, amongst leaves, and in the grass to discover a variety of fascinating mini-beasts.
The fun continued with some creative clay modelling.
It was wonderful to see everyone developing their observation skills, creativity, and appreciation for the natural world while enjoying the great outdoors. Well done, Butter Cove! 🍃🐛🦋

This week Steeple Cove have been learning about the wonderful world of dinosaurs 🦕 The children discovered how fossils were created, so to support the children's knowledge of fossils they made dinosaur fossil biscuits, using the dinosaurs to leave an imprint of their feet. Such a fun way to learn about how fossils are made 🦖

Butter Cove thoroughly enjoyed our Forest and Beach trip this week exploring the great outdoors, making dens and discovering wildlife. 🦋 💚 🐸
