Meet Tasha
Hello, I’m Tasha! I have over 20 years’ experience teaching and working with children, and I’ve always loved helping children discover what they are capable of. I have taught in both maintained and independent schools in Durham, London and Devon, holding roles including Head of English and Director of Studies, where I also coordinated Common Entrance examinations.
Seven years ago, I made the move into tutoring, and it’s a decision I’ve never looked back on. I love the more personal side of tutoring — getting to know each child, understanding how they learn best and helping them to grow in confidence as well as ability. I teach both face-to-face and online, working with home-educated children as well as pupils who attend school and want some extra support outside school hours.
I studied Education at Durham University and, having been brought up in Luxembourg, I’m also a native French speaker.
When I’m not teaching, I love being creative and spending time with my children. I enjoy swimming and tennis, and we often do art and creative activities together. I’m also a keen sketcher and can often be found drawing in my spare time!
And perhaps unsurprisingly, one of my biggest dreams is to write a children’s book one day. I think creativity, imagination and confidence are such an important part of learning — and they’re at the heart of everything I love about working with children.
