We’re delighted to welcome Matt Bawler as a Keynote speaker ✨

A teacher of over 20 years, Matt currently works as Head of Early Years and Wellbeing at a school in South London, teaching full time while also leading on wellbeing and mental health for both staff and pupils.

Matt’s passion is helping children develop strong foundations in positive mental health, emotional resilience, self-belief and growth mindset from the earliest years. His work is not simply about helping children cope when challenges come along, but about giving them the tools, language and confidence to thrive well beyond childhood.

In his keynote, Matt will explore why wellbeing must sit at the heart of early years practice as a vital foundation for children’s learning, relationships and future success!

Matt will bring delegates a practical, hopeful and deeply relevant message for everyone working with young children.

We’re delighted to share that Sue Robb OBE will be joining us at the Cornish Early Childhood Conference!

Sue is the Department for Education’s Best Start in Life Champion, supporting ministers and government in delivering the mission of giving every child the best start in life.

As an internationally respected early childhood leader, she brings decades of experience in education, quality, pedagogy, and policy across the UK and Australia. A former teacher, headteacher, and EYFS lead inspector, Sue has held senior strategic roles, including Head of Early Years at Action for Children and most recently Chief Children’s Officer at Goodstart Australia.
