GINGERBREAD MAN DECORATING ACTIVITY. 15/12/2022 . Parents were welcome to decorate gingerbread men with their children. Everyone really enjoyed this !

CHRISTMAS PARTY 2022 . Children and Staff gathered together to enjoy some festive treats and the end to a brilliant eventful term! 🎄

VISIT FROM SANTA ! The Children had a very special opportunity to give their Christmas wish list to Santa and take some pictures too !

🎓GRADUATION DAY 2022🎓 Recently we celebrated the preschool’s graduation day. The children had so much fun parading in their gowns. We sang songs, made lovely memories and created friendships that will last forever. We will not forget the time we have shared together at Chosen Treasures !

INTERNATIONAL DAY CATWALK TO TRADITIONAL MUSIC

On Thursday the Thornton Heath community had fun celebrating our roots in style.

The children danced and showed of their costumes on the catwalk! We learnt about the amazing cultures we have in the nursery by trying foods, looking and artefacts and trying to speak our friends’ National language!

🦷🪥DENTIST VISIT 🪥🦷
The children have enjoyed learning about dental hygiene this term. We have learnt about healthy choices and the importance of looking after our teeth!

🦋BUTTERFLIES 🦋
In relation to our “Hungry Caterpillar” story, the children had the opportunity to see real life caterpillar eggs that soon turned into beautiful butterflies. They learnt about the stages and life cycle of caterpillars.

🇬🇧PLATINUM JUBILEE CELEBRATION!!🇬🇧

Before breaking for the half term, the children enjoyed celebrating the upcoming Platinum Jubilee.

The children had the opportunity to have their face painted by Ms Portia which they loved. 🙂!

Also, The children were able to stand very still and concentrate whilst singing the national anthem , which they should be very proud of themselves!

The children came dressed in fancy,royal clothing to experience what it would feel like to be kings and queens!

They learnt about the the reigning monarchs and how long the current Queen has been reining for.(70 year!!)

20/5/22 was bee 🐝 day !! The children enjoyed learning all about how bees are special to us and what delicious honey they make!

🧦👚PYJAMA DAY AT CHOSEN TREASURES!!👚🧦 The children had lots of fun in their pyjamas. It was an exciting experience for the children as it was their first pyjama day! -party

🪣CHOSEN TREASURES’ SAND PIT🪣The children have enjoyed playing with our newly built sand pit. They are encouraged to spend their free time here as well as some activities taking place in the sand pit. Many of the the children love the feel of the sand. And other build sand castles. It is a loved, new addition to the nursery.

Our core book last week was ‘The three little pigs’ . The children made house structures following the events in the book. This was a fantastic, well enjoyed activity! 🤩

🐣HAPPY EASTER!! PT1. 🐣 Before the children broke for the holidays, they took part in a various range of activities including an Easter egg hunt , (which they made cute little baskets for their eggs) and bunny mask decorating. including much more.

🌻RECYCLED MATERIAL, MOTHERS DAY FLOWERS !!🌻 The children really enjoyed cutting material and with the help of teachers, we created flowers in pots!

🌺CHOSEN TREASURE’S FLOWER SHOP!!🌺

This week, the children had fun pretending to be shop keepers and selling flowers to their peers so they could give them to their mums on Mother’s Day! . We had fun learning the different names of the flowers as well as identifying their scents .The children created a very realistic atmosphere by drawing receipts for after the purchase and exchanging money too!

☀️As part of our ‘Bird’ topic, the children had the privilege of visiting Crystal Palace Park to look at various different species of birds. We took lovely photos underneath the sunshine, had a pic-nic and even played in the sand pit ! What an exhausting day!!☀️

🦅BIRD WEEK🦅 Last week the children had fun learning about birds. We looked at different species and their personalities as well as bird batching and feeding!
