🌍✨ Exploring “Anansi and the Pot of Beans” — A Caribbean Folk Tale Through Play!
Our babies and toddlers have been diving into the colourful world of Anansi, the clever spider from Caribbean folklore! 🕷️💛
Through storytelling, sensory play, and creative exploration, the children have been learning about kindness, sharing, and problem-solving — all while developing early communication, fine motor, and social skills.
🍲 Welcome to Anansi’s Kitchen!
Our home corner transformed into Anansi’s Kitchen — a vibrant space filled with pots, beans, drums, and traditional textures.
Children explored scooping, pouring, and mixing beans, developing hand–eye coordination and early maths skills like counting and comparing quantities. 🧱 Sensory & Creative Play
Using natural materials like beans, sticks, and textured fabrics, our little learners explored touch, sound, and movement.
🌱 Outdoor Learning
Inspired by Anansi’s cleverness and resourcefulness, our toddlers took their learning outdoors! 🌿
They dug in the soil, planted seeds, and talked about how food grows — linking the story’s theme of beans to real-life experiences.
🎨 Creative Expression
Children used paint, glue, and colourful materials to decorate their own “pots of beans.”
They explored textures, colours, and patterns while developing fine motor control and creativity.
