Do you have any empty tonne bags kicking around ? Due to our lack of machinery on the farm we use tonne bags to transport straw and hay around the farmyard but we are in desperate need of more ! If you have any you would be willing to donate we’d greatly appreciate it 👍

Today we visited the where our young farmers got to look at many different types of machinery as well as meet local suppliers in the agricultural industry, they had a great time and picked up lots of freebies!

Last weekend we visited White House Farm in Biddenden run by the Sargent family. We saw their pedigree jersey herd and learnt about their high welfare standards, diversifications and robotic milking. Thank you to Peter Sargent for showing us around, we’re now all eager to get our dairy calves in for summer showing !

The last 24 hours really have been out of this world ! Starting with our annual awards night last night which was a huge success, followed by the Kent County AGM and Awards Night tonight where we came home with 9 trophies and to top it all off we have just found out that Homewood School YFC came second in the national young farmers club of the year award in Birmingham. It’s completely surreal and is just the best icing on the cake of what has been a brilliant year for all of us 🍾
