Captain’s Catch Up 17.7.26 We had a visit to West Midland’s Safari Park on Friday, and really enjoyed the opportunity to spend some quality time together with our friends in the sunshine!

It is with mixed emotions that we say goodbye to Mr Davies as he embarks on an exciting new chapter.

Having been part of The Captain Webb team for over 10 years, Mr Davies has made a lasting impact on the lives of so many children and colleagues. He will be greatly missed by everyone who has had the pleasure of working and learning alongside him.

We thank him for all his hard work, support and dedication over the years, and we wish him the very best in his new role. We look forward to hearing all about his future successes.

REMINDER - Break the rules day - This Friday 3rd July

Slips will be sent home today or are available from the office. Please note that we are unable provide change so please send your child with the correct money.

As a result of the fantastic work the year 1 children have achieved due to their play-based curriculum, next year year 2 will be moving towards a similar curriculum and we would very much appreciate your help with gathering resources to support them in this.

If you have any construction toys that you could donate, we would be extremely grateful. Things like train tracks and lego would be amazing.

In addition to this they will really need some things to play with outdoors. They would love a reading hut or some old artificial grass to sit on.

Careers Week

We are looking at hosting a careers week where our pupils will embark on an inspiring journey exploring various professions and envisioning their future careers.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We are looking to have talks from parents / carers / grandparents / aunties or uncles who have interesting careers and would be happy to come into school and talk to a class about their career and discuss how their learning at school links to their future pathways.

The Date will be week commencing 6th July 2026

We would love to see the following jobs:
Hairdresser
Zookeeper / Exotic Zoo
Vet
Ait hostess
Travel Agent
Nurse
Shop Worker
Doctor / Dentist
Teacher
Farmer
Authors
Bakers
Poets
Football coaches

If you have one of these careers (or any other careers that are interesting!) please come to main reception who will assist further.
