Good Afternoon,

I have had a few new families enquire about my babysitting service so I just thought I would pop a post up to explain what I offer and how it works 🙂

I generally work evenings (after 6pm) and weekends, although ocassionally offer additional times during school holidays.

Babysitting takes place in your own home for insurance purposes. New clients are offered an optional home visit ,free of charge , prior to your booking - this allows you to talk me through your children’s routines and for your children to familiarise themselves with me.

My rates are £10/hour up until midnight. If you wish for babysitting to be extended until after midnight additional charges apply. This rate reflects my experience and qualifications and takes into account my travel expenses and insurance costs.

Play areas across the borough are set for a phased re-opening from Friday 10th July following new Government guidelines released this week.

We have been continuing maintenance on play equipment during lockdown and will begin to re-open some of the 120 play areas from Friday 10th July.

From June 25th I will be able to offer daytime babysitting for key workers / people returning to work in your own home . This will be during school hours to accommodate my own childcare commitments and is subject to a declaration that you or anyone in your household have not experienced symptoms of corona virus in the last 14 days .
If you are interested in this service please enquire in advance as my availability is limited .
Below is information taken from the government to confirm that I am working within guidelines .

Yesterday we went on a little nature walk for our daily exercise , we collected some different leaves and flowers and today Ruby has been using them to make some pictures , she is also writing about the different flowers and nature we came across .
Just an idea of something you can do with your children if your stuck for ideas.

This morning we have been making words using bottle tops .
This a really good way to teach CVC words (consonant , vowel, consonant) for younger children but you can challenge older children by seeing what the longest word they can make or by asking them to make words with specific sounds or digraphs such as the split a_e digraph (e.g cake , made, rake)

These paper dolls are so easy to make and one of our favourite stay at home activities..what has everyone else been doing to keep there little ones entertained?

Covid-19 update
Hello all,
Just a quick notice to inform you that I am currently still babysitting and will continue to do so as long as I am fit and healthy . If this changes at any point or if anyone in my household becomes unwell I will keep you informed.
I am happy to continue with existing bookings aslong as it is safe for me to do so and no-one in your household is showing signs of an ongoing cough or high temperature / illness.
Equally if you have a booking and wish to cancel in light of the current situation I completely understand.

Emergency childcare
As my university have now stopped all face to face lectures it does mean I may be able to help with daytime childcare if your child’s school or nursery has shut and you need to go to work.
Please enquire by private message about this as my availability will be limited to days where I do not have to participate in online lectures.

Apologies I have been a bit quiet lately .. I have been on a school placement for the last 6 weeks so life has been hectic with all the work and therefore babysitting has taken a bit of a backseat .
I am able to take on some more
bookings now that my placement has finished. I have a few dates left in March and lots in April so please pm if you have a date in mind x

Hey guys just a quick one ..
Next weekend I am taking a rare weekend off from babysitting as I have promised this little monkey she can have me all to herself ! I’m super grateful for everyone keeping me crazy busy with babysitting lately but also keen to make sure I balance having some time with family so no babysitting this weekend but I do have some availability for the following weekend (Saturday evening only) the following weekend both Friday and Saturday are booked and then after that I’m open for more bookings 🙂

Just a quick bit about me for those who do not already know me.
Choosing a babysitter for your children can be daunting especially if you are using someone new , my service include a free 30 minute visit prior to your booking which gives you the opportunity to meet me before your booking and ask any questions you may have. It also gives you the opportunity to view my qualifications and certificates and of course DBS check to put your mind at ease .
My experience ranges from newborn all the way up to teenagers and I have been in childcare for almost 10 years now . I am also a parent myself and in the process of completing my primary teaching degree.
