There's free entry and everyone is welcome! 😁

Its time for the first ever Mickey's group! 🎈

The toys are set out, the kettle is on and the doors will be opening just before 9.30am!

We are really looking forward to meeting you all!

Remember these groups are free with a voluntary(!) contribution of £2 per family to cover tea/coffee etc.

🎊🎈 MEET THE LEADERS #2 🎈🎊

In preparation for our first Mickey's group tomorrow, it's time to meet the second leader! Yesterday you met Lesley. Today, it's Liz's turn to introduce herself 🎉

Liz writes:

"Hello. My name is Liz Whitty and I have lived in Devon for just over 6 years and specifically Teignmouth for 3 years. Before retiring in April this year, I had been working with children and young people specifically with SEN/additional needs for around 17 years.
Having very recently welcomed my Grandson into the world, I have realised the lack of social/support groups available for those caring for and looking after young children and especially Mum's who are expecting. I am thrilled to be working with Lesley on this adventure and am very excited to meet you all!"

🎈🎊 MEET THE LEADERS #1 🎊🎈

As promised, we'd like to introduce our Mickey's Leaders before our first group begins this Thursday!

First to be introduced to you all is Lesley 🎉

Lesley writes:

"Hello, my name is Lesley Heffer and I have lived in Teignmouth for 2 years now. I love the place and the people. I am a Licensed Lay Minister based at St. Michael’s Church, and before I moved to Teignmouth I was a primary school teacher for over 20 years. I have always worked with children and am excited to be involved with Mickeys and to meet the next generation of Teignmouth citizens."

Less than a week to go until our first Mickey's session on Thursday the 7th of September between 9.30 and 11.30am at St Michaels Church, Teignmouth 🎉🎉
We can't wait to meet you all! 🤝

We are excited to announce that St Michael’s Church Teignmouth (the Church by the sea) are starting a brand new group for those expecting a baby, or looking after a baby, or with pre-school child or children.

‘Mickeys’ will be held at the church on Thursday mornings between 9.30-11.30. There will be an opportunity to meet with others looking after young children, to share a chat and a coffee, toys and activities for children and (if you so wish) to join in with a short act of child centred worship.

The first group will be on Thursday 7th September 2023! Look out for posts with further information.
