🏏🏃‍♂️ "Year 3 and 4 really enjoyed their introduction to cricket led by James from Hampton Wick Royal Cricket Club. The children enthusiastically joined in with all the bowling and batting activities and learnt some new skills!" ~ Mrs Furrer

🍫🌡️ "Year 4 have been investigating the melting point of different materials as part of their Science topic - Solids, Liquids and Gases. To illustrate how melting points can vary for different materials we used 3 different types of chocolate (white, milk and dark) to test out our ideas. Unsurprisingly, the white chocolate melted the quickest because it had the highest percentage fat, followed by the milk and then the dark chocolate. Sadly the investigation was all in the name of Science and we couldn’t eat any!" ~ Mrs Furrer

💚❤️ "In Italian Club, the children had lots of fun practising Italian numbers with a memory card game! Working in two teams, they had to match the cards showing the correct number of dots with the number written in Italian. Both teams did brilliantly and it was a very close game. The winning team won by just one point! Bravissimi!" ~ Ms Camporese

⚽🏃‍♂️"The football season is back under way, starting off with our Year 6 boys who took part in the first football tournament of the season. They played 6 matches which they thoroughly enjoyed and are already looking forward to the next one!" ~ Miss Flowers

📏🔟 "In Maths, the children in Year 2 have using number lines! They have been building their confidence at counting in tens and in ones to identify numbers from 0-100. To practise estimating numbers, we went outside and the children worked in groups to mark on a number line where the numbers would be. They used their skill of counting the tens first, and then counting in ones to make an estimate of where the number would be." ~ Mrs Harvey

🤝❤️"Last week’s focus for Caritas in Year 5 was ‘Community and Participation’. The children played the ‘String Game’ in 2 groups and found that they eventually were all interconnected with one another. The aim of the game was to show that no one in a community stands alone- the actions, well-being and participation of one member affects the whole group. It was a thought-provoking session. Well done Year 5!" ~ Miss O'Brien

🏏👟"Year 5 enjoyed their Taster Cricket session with Coach James from Hampton Wick Royal Cricket Club, assisted by 2 of our experienced Year 6’s. It was so much fun learning to bat from the tees, throw, catch and finally play a small scale game against one another. Thank you again James for coming in. We’ll see you in a couple of weeks for Year 2, 3 and 4!" ~ Mrs O'Brien
