Whitchurch Preschool

This week we have been talking about being kind and caring and today we thought about all the ways we use our hands to be helpful, to look after ourselves and others and to play. We finger painted hearts and used our fingers and hands to turn our dinosaur into a Chinese dragon ready for Chinese New Year, working together and sharing ideas and resources.

With the RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch weekend coming up, we have been looking at the birds that visit preschool, naming them and making bird feeders to use in preschool and to take home for the birds in our own gardens.

The kitchen is full of raffle prizes for tomorrow!! We have hampers and individual prizes to be won. Thank you to everyone who has donated and bought tickets. There is still time to buy a ticket if you would like to. The draw will be made tomorrow morning and winners notified. Good Luck for tomorrow!

We have been learning about shape this week and have also chosen dinosaurs to play with. We have made patterns and pictures with 2D shapes and made junk models with 3D shapes whilst trying to remember all of their names and talking about their attributes. We worked together to make a huge dinosaur that we decorated with shapes. We added some lights too as we are beginning to look forward to Xmas! 🦖
