🌊⛺ YEAR 4 ADVENTURES AT KILVE! 🧗‍♀️🚲

What an adventure our amazing Year 4 children had at Kilve! 🌟

At the beginning of September, our children swapped the classroom for the great outdoors and threw themselves into an action-packed residential full of adventure, laughter and plenty of new challenges! 💪😄

From abseiling and mountain biking 🚲 to buggy building, the Fantasy Trail and tricky maze puzzles, there was something to challenge everyone. Our children showed incredible teamwork, resilience, courage and determination as they encouraged one another and tackled each activity with enthusiasm 👏

One of the biggest highlights was our visit to Kilve Beach 🏖️, where the children became fossil hunters for the day! 🦕🔎 They were thrilled to discover real ammonites and devil’s toe-nails – what amazing finds!

And, of course, no residential would be complete without some evening fun! 🎶🔥 We enjoyed a brilliant disco, a cosy campfire, toasted marshmallows, hot chocolate and plenty of singing (and perhaps a few tired voices the next morning! 😉).

Most importantly, our children supported and looked after each other, stepped outside their comfort zones and discovered just how much they could achieve.

We returned to school with very tired children, huge smiles and a whole host of wonderful memories! ❤️

Well done, Year 4 – we are incredibly proud of every single one of you! 🌟

GET READY TO DANCE! 🪩 🎉

Our PTFA School Disco is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to see everyone ready to dance, boogie and have lots of fun! 💃🕺✨

🌈 Don’t forget, it will be also a non-uniform day!

🎶✨ We’re looking forward to an afternoon/evening full of music, smiles and plenty of dancing! Let’s get those disco moves ready! 🪩🎵

First event of the school year is of course our school disco!

ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND

We are absolutely thrilled with the transformation of our front playground! 🎉

From climbing and balancing on the adventure trail, to building obstacle courses with our new Skill Build blocks, our children now have even more opportunities for active play, creativity, teamwork and problem-solving 🧗‍♀️🧱

And we LOVE our new performance stage, giving children a space to sing, dance, perform and grow in confidence! 🎭🎶

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Parkfield PTFA , the WPA Foundation and everyone who helped make this project possible 💙

We’d also like to thank Outdoor Play UK - Playground Manufacturers & Installers for bringing our ideas to life.

It's been so amazing to see this space filled with learning, laughter and adventure since the start of term ! 🌈✨

We are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.
Parkfield is a welcoming school where children are at the heart of everything we do and we’re looking for someone who has a love of learning and can help inspire and support our pupils.

• Support children across the school, including pupils with SEND
• Help children with their learning and personal development
• Support classroom teaching, including in our Reception classes
• Work closely with teachers and colleagues to help all children make the most of their educational opportunities

• Has GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths, plus a relevant qualification
• Has previous experience working with children in an educational setting
• Is caring, patient, motivated and able to use their initiative
• Works well as part of a team
• Is keen to play a full part in school life and uphold our strong values

WELCOME BACK!

Our staff have been working hard behind the scenes, completing training, preparing classrooms and making sure everything is ready for a wonderful start to the new school year.

We’re so excited to see all of our children back in school tomorrow. We’ve certainly missed you and can’t wait to hear all about your adventures and see your smiling faces! 😊

Make sure your uniform is ready, your school bag is packed, and you’re all set for the morning. We’ve got an exciting year ahead filled with learning, laughter and lots of fun!

YEAR 6 – WHAT A FINALE! ✨🎓

As we reach the end of the summer, we’re looking back on an unforgettable final few weeks for our amazing Year 6 children! From tiny Reception pupils to confident young people ready for their next adventure, we couldn’t be prouder 💙

🎭 Lights, camera, action! Our talented pupils wowed family and friends with their fantastic production of Grimm: Once Upon A Musical. With brilliant performances, hilarious moments, colourful costumes and plenty of behind-the-scenes teamwork, they truly brought the fairy-tale world to life! 👏✨

🏄‍♀️🌊 Then came Pembrokeshire! Surfing, rock pools, hiking, a boat trip to Caldey Island, exploring Big Pit and stepping back in time at St Fagans – what an adventure! The children embraced every challenge, made wonderful memories and showed what superstars they are 🌟

And finally, we gathered for our Year 6 Leavers’ Service – a very special celebration of everything they have achieved🎓❤️

A huge congratulations to all our award winners, our fantastic Pupil Leadership Team and a special well done to Sam A, recipient of the Emma Wright Award. This award, created in memory of our much-loved colleague, celebrates the courage, kindness and dedication she held so dear 💜

To our wonderful 2025 / 2026 Year 6…
Be proud. Be brave. Be kind. Be brilliant. 🌟

We will miss you enormously, but we know you are ready to take on the next chapter. Good luck, have the best time at your new schools and remember, once you’re Parkfield, you’re always Parkfield! 💙

YEAR 5 CIVIC AWARD FUNDRAISER🌟

Back in May, our fantastic Year 5 pupils proudly hosted their annual Civic Award Fundraiser and what an amazing success it was! 🎉

This year, the children chose to support Love Musgrove, with the money raised helping The Beacon Centre, a charity that is very close to our hearts ❤️

Our Year 5 children worked incredibly hard behind the scenes, from baking delicious desserts 🍰 and beautifully decorating the hall 🎨 to organising a fantastic auction and writing heartfelt letters to local businesses to ask for donations.

We were absolutely blown away by the generosity of our local community and our wonderful families. Your support helped make the evening truly special 🙌

And now for the BIG news… 🥁🥁🥁

We raised an incredible £2,098.23! 💰

This amazing amount will go towards purchasing specialised equipment to help reduce hair loss during chemotherapy treatment, making a real difference to those receiving treatment 💕

We are so incredibly proud of our Year 5 pupils. Their hard work, kindness, confidence and community spirit shone brightly throughout the evening 🌟
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who baked, donated, bid, supported and cheered our children on. Together, we have shown just how much can be achieved when our school community comes together 💙

We’re already looking forward to next year’s Civic Award Fundraiser! 🎉

BUGFEST - A CREEPY-CRAWLY ADVENTURE! 🕷️🐛

In the last term of school, our children had an un-bug-lievable time with Bugfest! 🤩

From Reception right through to Year 6, pupils were able to get up close and personal with an amazing array of minibeasts and showed incredible curiosity and courage along the way!

We met cockroaches, millipedes, stick insects, snails, beetles, scorpions and even some very furry tarantulas! 🕷️😱 Some brave children (and even braver staff! 👏) were able to hold the creatures and learn fascinating facts about their habitats, survival skills and amazing adaptations.

There were plenty of surprising discoveries too from giant prehistoric creepy-crawlies to death-faking beetles and some seriously impressive scorpion facts! 🦂

A huge THANK YOU to the Bugfest team for bringing science to life in such an exciting and memorable way. 🌎🔬

Well done to all our children for being such brave, curious and enthusiastic scientists! 🐞👏

GOLD AGAIN! THREE YEARS IN A ROW! 🥇🏆

We are absolutely delighted to share that Parkfield Primary School has achieved the Gold School Games Mark for the THIRD consecutive year! 🎉🙌

This fantastic award recognises our commitment to giving children brilliant opportunities to get active, have fun, try new sports, develop skills and enjoy being part of a team. ⚽🏃‍♀️🏀🏅

From PE lessons and lunchtime activities to clubs, competitions and inter-school events, our children have shown incredible enthusiasm, determination and sportsmanship throughout the year 💪🌟

And there’s even more exciting news… 👀✨

Three consecutive Gold Awards means we are now eligible to apply for the Platinum School Games Mark! 💎

What an amazing milestone for our school community!
