📚 Supporting good school attendance

Regular attendance plays an important part in helping students make the most of their time at school.

The Department for Education has produced a short video offering practical tips for parents and carers on supporting good attendance throughout secondary school.

We’d encourage our families to take a few minutes to watch.

🚲 Cycling to school? Ride safe!

It’s great to see so many of our students choosing to cycle to school, a healthy, active way to travel that also helps reduce traffic and is better for the environment. 🌱

A quick reminder for our cyclists:
🚲 Wear a properly fitted helmet every time you ride
👀 Take extra care on busy roads
🚦 Avoid weaving in and out of traffic
💛 Cycle safely and considerately around others

We want everyone who cycles to school to enjoy the journey and, most importantly, arrive safely.

Thank you to our families for helping us reinforce these simple cycling safety messages at home.

🎉 Year 11 Prom Fundraising, Celebrations Raffle! 🎉

Our Year 11 Prom Committee is busy fundraising to help reduce the cost of Prom tickets for all Year 11 students, and this week there’s chocolate up for grabs! 🍫

Students can buy raffle tickets for the chance to win a tub of Celebrations. If you’d like to take part, remember to bring in some cash – coins would be particularly helpful! 🪙

⚠️ Allergy information: Celebrations contain nuts, so the prize may not be suitable for everyone. The winning tub will be presented at the end of the school day to be opened at home.

Good luck, and thank you for supporting the Year 11 Prom! 🤞
